It will be extremely hard to top the pandemonium that came along with the release of the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” or the Nike Air Yeezy 2, but 2013 has some serious heat lined up to make it a year to remember. We have compiled a list of the top 30 sneakers slated to release next year to whet your appetite. Decisions will have to be made, and strategies will have to be created as we look forward to the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” and an all new Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red Suede” to drop in 2013. After checking out the 30 Sneakers We’re Looking Forward to in 2013, let us know which you are most anticipating in the poll on the last page. Happy New Year!!!

Expected Release: N/A

Swizz Beatz announced Shaquille O’Neal’s official return to the Reebok stable back in November. With said return, come Shaq sneakers that we haven’t seen in almost two decades, including the Shaq Attaq seeming to be very close to its original form. Expected Release: January 2013

The nickname stems from a popular movie, but the shoe that helped start Jordan Brand’s packages returns solo next year.
Expected Release: Jeremy Scott’s partnership with adidas Originals has produced creative, popular, and even controversial shoes. Next year looks to be another good one as the 2013 collection features many interesting twists to classic adidas models, including a collaboration with Eason Chan.

Expected Release: January 1 2013

The Foamposite craze hit brand new heights in 2012 with the release of the “Galaxy” and “Stealth” colorways. This next year looks to add another level to the passion for foamposite with the usage of a black and white?camouflage motif instead of the usual solid color.

Expected Release: Early 2013

Brick and Mortar are used to build strong buildings. In this case, the HAL x ASICS Gel Lyte II “Brick” and HAL x ASICS Gel Lyte III “Mortar” are two sneakers that will be essential components to building a great sneaker collection in 2013. Though they were supposed to release on November 17 of this year, the HAL x ASICS “Brick and Mortar” Pack will hit select retailers in 2013 in limited quantities.

Expected Release: February 16, 2013

“Love/Hate” does not aptly describe the reaction when images of the Air Jordan XX8 first surfaced. However, new colorways have started to sway some opinions. Fans attending the NBA All-Star game in Houston will get the first chance to see the shoe close up and purchase them a day before they release worldwide.

Expected Release: Spring 2013

Vans pushed all the right buttons in 2012. They blended classic models and edgy designs to seamlessly create new styles. Come spring, fans of the brand will be able to walk on the wild side with the Vans “Leopard” Pack.

Expected Release: N/A

Lunarlon cushioning made waves in 2012. Its momentum will continue in 2013 as the Nike Lunarspeed+ is sure to be one of many sneakers that employ the lightweight material. Expected Release: Fall 2013

Jordan Brand is setting itself up for yet another great year in 2013. The return of the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” in the fall will brighten up those gloomy fall days, and gear fans up for the impending holiday season. There’s also been word that the Air Jordan 3 “White Cement” will return with the nostalgic “Nike Air” on the heel. The shoe has been given the name Air Jordan 3 ’88 “White Cement” to pay homage to it being release in an OG form. Expected Release: N/A

Some of you may be too young to remember when a young Jerry Stackhouse ruled the airways of the NBA. In his early years as a part of the Philadelphia 76ers, Stackhouse rocked his own signature Fila kicks. The line will retro in 2013, starting with the Fila Stack. Expected Release: Early 2013

Two design giants work together on a pack of adidas sneakers. Two adidas Campus models and a camo printed ZX 5000 have all received modifications. The Consortium collection was set to release this month, but was postponed. Expected Release: Fall 2013

“Fire Red” will be a color of choice for Jordan Brand in 2013. The fan favorite should not be confused for the Air Jordan 5 white/black-fire red colorway, but the added coloring should make those that miss out on other Jordan 5 releases happy as the year winds down. Expected Release: January 26, 2013

Are you already trying to decide which one to cop? Decisions will have to be made as two similar colorways of the Air Jordan 5 will drop in 2013. Maybe you can wear these from February through the fall, then cop the “Fire Red” Jordan 5 when they release. It’s just a thought. Expected Release: February 22, 2013

The West NYC x New Balance MT580 collaboration was a hit in 2012. The shoe receives another makeover as Fingercroxx adds its touch to the trail runner in 2013. Expected Release: N/A

The second camo-printed Foamposite incorporates a more standard camouflage pattern. Some have expressed their desire to have a Swoosh on the “Fighter Jet” Foamposites, and the Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Army Camo” provides that. Expected Release: Multiple release in 2013

The Nike Roshe Run was probably the most surprising shoe of 2012. The simple, lightweight shoe looks to build on that success in 2013 with a slightly updated design and exciting prints and colorways set to release. Expected Release: January 2013

Black History Month is celebrated in February, but sneaker fans will be able to start their celebration early with the release of a plethora of Jordan Brand and Nike shoes in January. As you can see above, only the Jordan Spizike “Black History Month” will hold out for a February drop date. Expected Release: Teyana Taylor has a serious following, and is well known for her shoe collection. It was only right that after G.O.O.D Music mate Big Sean collaborated with adidas on a shoe, the well known sneakerhead would be soon to follow. Expected Release: Fall 2013

Remember when we said that “Fire Red” would be a color of choice for Jordan Brand in 2013? Carmelo Anthony gave us a hint that the Air Jordan 4 would receive a bath in red coloring. Though they are not identical, I think we are ok with the Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red Suede”. Expected Release: N/A

Nike has brought the Huarache back in upgraded forms, including the Nike Huarache Free, but the affinity for the OG model and colorways have been pined for by those old enough to remember. Luckily, Nike has responded and will be releasing the Nike Huarache in both its original form and colorways in 2013. Expected Release: Spring 2013

Reebok will truly be back in 2013. Along with the anticipated release of the Shaq signature sneakers, the brand will also release a litany of Reebok Kamikaze II colorways, including the original black/white-forest green iteration. Expected Release: March 2013

Did you say “I wish they would release the ‘Lightning’ 4s” when the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” dropped during the holidays? Your wish is granted in 2013 as the Air Jordan 4 “Lightning” is slated to release in March 2013. Expected Release: N/A

Kevin Durant hinted at a Nike KD V “Elite” Lows and an “Incredible Hulk” colorway of his latest signature model. Judging from the ridiculous colorways of the Nike Zoom KD IV, we can only imagine what this model has in store. Expected Release: January 2013

The Air Jordan 13 experienced a revival in 2010 and 2011, but it hasn’t been since 2004 that we have seen the Air Jordan 13 Black/Red. Almost a decade later, we get a chance to add the classic shoe to our collection in 2013. The Nike LeBron X has already been seen in a multitude of colorways, both released and unreleased. However, 2013 looks to be a great year for the latest LeBron model, including a Floridian “Home” makeup that is sure to be seen on court this year. Expected Release: February 16, 2013

NBA All-Star weekend will be a huge one for sneaker releases. We haven’t seen the Air Jordan 1 Black/Royal Blue on shelves since 2001, but that all will change in February 2013. Expected Release: N/A

The Nike Air Foamposite “White Out” seems like the one shoe that will never release. After Penny Hardaway said they would drop in 2012, there was a tentative release set for August. We did receive the all black “Stealth” Foamposite, but 2013 is the year the popular shoe finally sees the light of day.Reebok Shaq Signatures
