I usually have a lot more high top sneakers in my winter rotation, and these AO Hook Shots from adidas definitely fit the bill. I love the forest green pair, and the addition of suede to my November\/December palette is more than welcome here in the relatively dry Austin..<\/p>\n

All black shoes are usually nice, but the patent leather toe sets this one off for me. The concept behind it is great too.<\/p>\n

Could this be the best retro of 2013? I think so. The Reebok Shaq Attaq was one model that no one ever thought would come back. Gotta give up to Swizz and Todd for making these happen, can’t think of a fresher shoe from the brand’s vault.<\/p>\n

All I can say is, wow, this is a great shoe for a great cause. These days we sometimes, myself included, get caught up in colorways and retros, and we forget the importance of design, function, and innovation. Nike’s bread and butter is marrying form and function, and they did a great job with the Air Walzer. You’ve got details like the special sole, the oversized strap, the zipper, and the extra ankle support, and the prototype itself looks great too! Props to Mr. Walzer and Matt Halfhill for sparking an idea that turned into results.<\/p>\n
