There have been some?major sneaker moments in college basketball. Last Friday officially kicked the 2012-2013 college basketball season into full swing. Kentucky squared off with Maryland in the first annual Barclays Center Classic in Brooklyn, and though the Ohio State-Marquette game was cancelled, all eyes were fixed to the games played on air craft carriers over the weekend. Michigan State faced UConn in Ramstein, Germany and the Notre Dame women took on the Ohio State ladies aboard USS Yorktown. Florida tussled with Georgetown for a half before the game was cancelled, but that was more than enough time to break out a pair of “Bright Crimson” Foamposites and rarely seen “Silver Anniversary” Jordans. The Syracuse and San Diego State game on the deck of USS Midway was postponed, but the Aztecs made it well worth the wait as?Jamal Franklin?pulled off his best?Nate Robinson?impression by switching shoes at halftime. Off the ships, a few players proved that this could be an interesting Kicks on Court season for the NBA hopefuls. Snkrs Day will be there every step of the way to show you weekly recaps of the best sneakers rocked by teams in the Top 25, and even sneak in some best of the rest heat.
