Sneakers are an important part of the game of basketball. As basketball players, we all like to play in the best shoes not only for comfort, but as confidence boosters.?This year, we have new uniforms in Charlotte, so I?ll be able to do some different things, sneaker-wise, but of course, I’ll stick to my retros.?Here are five shoes that I?ll play in this season. I have a few more surprises that I?ll pull out this season, but I won’t let you know everything just yet.

RELATED: Reggie Williams to Serve as Kicks On Court Guest Editor

I?m a big fan of Charles Barkley’s Nike line. I’ve always been a fan of it because Barkley had one of the best signature lines that Nike has created. They are extremely comfortable, and both of these?shoes have a lot of cushion and they provide comfort when I play in them.

I have a couple different colorways of the Nike Zoom Rookie that match nicely with our new uniforms. When I play, I prefer a heavier basketball shoe, and the Rookie is anything but light. Penny Hardaway was one of my favorite players growing up, so I have to show his line some love this year. I remember my first appearance on Snkrs Day’ Kicks On Court in a pair of the “Royal Blue” Foams.

The “Photo Blue” Jordan 9s that are coming out soon are so ill! This pair was definitely made for us Bobcats this season. If one of my Jordan Brand teammates, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Jeff Taylor, don’t bring these out soon, I?ll debut them.

I’ll use these black Flight Ones for road games, mostly. This is one of my favorite shoes of all time, and once again, a tribute to Penny. As far as comfort, it’s just right; not too light or to heavy.

I probably won?t be jumping over seven-footers with these, but they take me back to when I was younger and had all of VC?s shoes. These are classic for my generation. I?m definitely going to bring these back and ball in them at some point this season.

Charlotte Bobcats guard Reggie Williams releases his first story as guest editor of Kicks On Court.

[835
1225551,1205969

2":"type-post

5.
