A handful of NBA players have switched sneaker logos, but only a select few have signed with brands based in Asia. Following the breaking news of Dwyane Wade?s jump from Jordan Brand to Li-Ning, we recount the list of hoopers who?ve collected footwear paychecks from the Pacific.

Brand: Li Ning Three-point specialist and sideline dance extraordinaire Damon Jones became the first active NBA star to ink with a Chinese sportswear company back in 2006. A two-year deal with Li-Ning didn?t see a signature shoe, but it did pave the way for others.

Brand: Li Ning Following DJ?s footsteps, Shaquille O?Neal put off Payless for a paycheck in China. A five-year deal with Li Ning saw big exposure on court but no retail placement in the US. Signature models for Shaq were available for sale overseas.

Brand: Anta The Franchise?s small stature and popularity from a Yao pairing played perfectly to his Anta signing in 2007. This deal made him the first international face of the Chinese brand and also allowed him input in his product design.

Brand: Anta Much like Stevie Franchise, Luis Scola benefitted from playing alongside Yao Ming. His Argentinian roots and Anta signing made his kick game all things international, spawning ad campaigns and a signature shoe.

Brand: Li Ning In 2008, Baron Davis became the first active player with big game and cool points to sign with a Chinese brand. His Li Ning endorsement birthed a signature sneaker sold in the US, receiving push from promotional events and digital marketing. Davis and Li Ning recently parted ways over the summer.

Brand: Li Ning B. Diddy and the Li Ning family looked to rebuild their backcourt after the expiration of Damon Jones? pioneering contract. Jose Calderon filled his shoes, offering NBA endorsement in T. Dot. Li Ning also serves as the sponsor for his home country Spain’s basketball team.

Brand: Peak J-Kidd left China in 2008 with a Gold Medal and a PEAK deal. The signing was a surprise to lifelong supporters of the pass-first PG, disrupting a long line of signatures and PEs but leading to the same with the Chinese brand. No need to fuss though Zoom Flight V fans, he?s back with the Nike.

Brand: Peak Best known for rocking Jordans and Kobes, Air France took flight in PEAK for the 2009-10 season. This on court endorsement lasted into 2011 with Pietrus going back to Nikes in 2012.

Brand: Peak J-Rich took his high wire act from Nike to PEAK in 2010. As a member of PEAK, Richardson has received a signature model and his own logo.

Brand: Anta Kevin Garnett has done his share of logo swapping, but his 2010 moved to Anta surprised everyone. The move marked his fourth sneaker brand signing, spawning a signature shoe and apparel line overseas.

Brand: Li Ning Coming off a hot college campaign at Ohio State, Evan Turner made news by signing a six-year deal with Li Ning. The brand and Turner have remained tight through two seasons as seen by a signature shoe and PE makeups.

Brand: Li Ning Following signature stints with Converse and Jordan Brand, Dwyane Wade becomes the latest hooper to sign with Li Ning. A signature shoe is all but assumed, but we?ll have to wait for design and distribution details.

Images via Zimbio & Kenlu

A handful of NBA players have switched sneaker logos, but only a select few have signed with brands based in…

[618
{"2":"type-post
