In addition to radio and television personality Big Tigger, we caught up with former NBA player and Cincinnati Bearcat Kenny Satterfield while in D.C. at the World Basketball Festival. Many of you youngsters may not remember Satterfield aka “Serious Satellite,” but he was one of, if not the top point guard in the nation as a sophomore in college during the early 2000s. As for sneakers, the NYC native suited up in the Flightposite II, the “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11, the Nike Shox BB4 and others, while at Cincy. That was then, but what is the streetball superstar rocking these days on and off the court? After helping Team Nike NYC win the City Tournament of Champions earlier this week (wearing the “Liquid Lime” Nike Lunar Hyperdunk), Satterfield put us up on his five-sneaker rotation in the latest installment of My 5. You can tell by his sneaker rotation that basketball is his life.

Kenny Satterfield: “Well, obviously I’m rocking the new “Liquid Lime” Hyperdunks right now. I’m playing in those a lot during summer league games. I like those a lot. They’re really light and comfortable.”

Kenny Satterfield: “I like what Nike is doing with the Kobe line. Low-tops are actually cool to hoop in. I’m a big fan of the newest one, the Kobe VII. I have a bunch of Kobe VII colors that I hoop in sometimes.”

Kenny Satterfield: “The LeBrons are hot right now, too. I like the low-top LeBrons more than I like the high-top version. I wear a lot of colors of those, too. Just recently, I picked up the “Summit Lake Hornets” pair.”

Kenny Satterfield: “The Soldier III is one of my favorite shoes to hoop in period. That shoe is so comfortable. I played in it a lot when it first came out and I still lace them up from time to time.”

Kenny Satterfield: ” I have to keep Jordans in my rotation at all times. The retros they’re bringing out these days are nice. I rock the “Concords” a lot and the “Playoff” 12s. Those 12s are one of my favorite Jordans ever.”

Who remembers Kenny Satterfield?
