Today marks the 83rd MLB All-Star Game and to coincide with this highly-anticipated matchup, we begin a new column called Caps and Kicks. This buyer’s guide column is structured to help those in need of available kicks to match their favorite team?s cap. We start off with teams from the American League, who look to end a two All-Star Game losing streak against the National League tonight.

Kicks: Nike Air Max 2012 and ASICS Gel Neo33 Currently second in the AL East, the Orioles look to make a run to the top in the second half of the season by attempting to make their first postseason appearance in a long time. The orange and black color blocking of their caps match perfectly with the Air Max 2012 and ASICS Neo33 shown above.

Kicks: Nike Zoom Soldier VI and adidas adiZero Feather 2.0 Although one of the most hated teams in baseball, the Red Sox own an adored color scheme. The navy and red can match with almost any shoe out there but in particular with the recently-released Zoom Soldier VI and adidas. The Red Sox may be near the bottom of their division, but they’ll find a way to battle and make a run at the title in September.

Kicks: Nike Air Max 2009 Oh, the iconic Yankees logo; to match with the iconic Yankeers hat, we spotted the Air Max 2009 in navy and photo blue. For a further connection, 2009 may be a memorable year for Yankees fans seeing that they not only opened their new stadium, but also won the World Series over the Phillies.

Kicks: Nike Zoom Kobe VII “Shark” ?Don?t let the devil in!? Ever since Tampa dropped the ?Devil? from its mascot, they have been in the hunt every year for a World Series title. Matching with the hunger and oceanic theme is the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ?Shark.” Take into consideration the outline on the ‘TB’ matches perfectly with these Kobe VIIs.

Kicks: Nike Air Max 1 and adidas SL 72 Although a bottom feeder in a tough division, we spotted some top-notch kicks to match the Blue Jays’ caps. The “Dynamic Blue” Air Max 1 connects perfectly with the touch of blue on their black-based caps, and the classic, red white and blue toned adidas SL 72 matches the royal-colored hats.

Kicks: New Balance 501 What?s a better way to match a White Sox cap than a clean pair of grey New Balances? These 501s feature a suede and synthetic upper complimented with a rubber sole.

Kicks: Nike Hyperdunk and adidas Crazy Light 2 Cleveland rocks and so do these kicks to match the Indians? caps. The Nike Lunar Hyperdunk, with its obsidian base, matches perfectly with the all-navy based, alternative cap. Also, the adidas Crazy Light 2 ?USA? color blocking compliments the iconic Indian logo hat.

Kicks: Nike 5 Gato Leather and adidas Dragon As winners of five straight going into the All-Star Break, the Tigers of Detroit look to bring that momentum into the second half. Swinging for the fences to match Detroit?s iconic Gothic logo is an orange Nike Gato Leather and a navy adidas Dragon with complimenting white stripes.

Kicks: Nike Zoom Soldier VI Hosting the All-Star Game has Royals fans cheering for the first time in a while. Owning one of the longest playoff droughts but also an eye-pleasing colorway, the Kansas City Royals look to battle their way back to prominence in style. Matching the royal and white color blocking of their on-field cap is the newly released Nike Zoom Soldier VI.

Kicks: Nike Air Force 180 and Nike LeBron 9 Low The Twins don?t have much to cheer about owning the worst record in the AL Central, but they have great caps to match equally awesome kicks. The recently released Nike Air Force 180 could bring inspiration to any individual or team with its Dream Team essence. Also, the Nike LeBron 9 Low brings not only a matching color scheme but a sense of nationalism as well.

Kicks: Converse All Star Hi Matching not only the west coast vibe but also the on-field cap of the Angels, is the Converse All Star Hi. Dressed in a vibrant red base, the Converse All Star brings a lot of tradition to a club that has won one World Series title since its 1961 Major League induction.

Kicks: Nike5 StreetGato and Nike5 Elastico Pro Matching the iconic forest green and yellow of the cap and Moneyball style of the Oakland A?s are the Nike StreetGato and Elastico Pro. The forest green makeup of the StreetGato goes well with the alternative cap, while the Elastico Pro green and yellow combination matches the home makeup.

Kicks: Nike Huarache Free Run and Nike Air Griffey Max 1 It may have been raining a lot on the Mariners recently but nothing can dampen the rich history of the Seattle squad. Matching the alternate cap is a pair of the highly-praised Nike Huarache Free Run. Plus, how could we mention the Mariners without having a Griffey signature? The ?Home Run Derby? edition of the Air Max Griffey 1 matches the teal accents of the Mariners home cap.

Kicks: Nike Lunar Hyperdunk and New Balance 574 The Rangers have gotten into the swing of things in recent years by appearing in back-to-back World Series matchups and having one of the highest scoring offenses in MLB. Both the Nike Lunar Hyperdunk and New Balance 574 own red, white and blue color blocking and can be alternated between the home and away versions of the Rangers? caps.

[618
1209798

2":"type-post

Baltimore Orioles
