THE GOOD- REEBOK RETRO LINEUP

Reebok Classics 2012-2013 Preview

When Swizz Beatz proclaimed Reebok as ‘back’ a year ago, many brushed off any significant return to power for the brand. Since then, Swizzy has led a charge of fashion forward sneakers and more recently a run of pined retros. The Questions, Answer IVs, Kamikaze IIs, Emmitt Smith trainers, and DMX runners are great news and promise on his words. Good job, Mr. Beatz.

THE BAD- JS ROUNDOUSE SHELVED OVER CONTROVERSY

adidas Shelves “Handcuffs” JS Roundhouse

It?s easy to have bad feelings regarding the recent commotion over the Jeremy Scott x adidas Roundhouse Mid. Some felt the shelving was uncalled for because the inspiration was misinterpreted, while others felt the shoe was offensive because it conjured up images of slavery and imprisonment. Though it?s apparent Scott did not intend to offend, it was also well stated in the comment section that given the sidewalk test these would not be well received by all. Jeremy Scott and adidas will move on, but it’s hard to feel good about the shelving or the uproar.

Who said ugly was a bad thing? The toxic lime, red, and blue combination is hideous</del> hazardous to most, but this PE definitely makes a statement.
