Some shoes take their time to come back. Case in point??It’s been 15 years since the Air Jordan “Obsidian” last released.? While we hope you didn?t miss your chance on this retro, there?s a long list of other shoes that returned later than expected. We take a look at 12 retro releases that took their time to come back, but were so worth it.

Released: 1997 This navy Jordan 12 retroed back in 2004, but that version had a haircut. Today’s release is the first time the OG “Obsidian” has released in 15 years. If you missed out, you better keep looking because there is no telling when this pioneer will be back again.

Released: 1996 Ken Griffey Jr. hung up his cleats in 2010, but Nike brought KG24 back in the picture when they retroed the Air Griffey Max 1s. The first Griffeys hid for over a decade, but came on strong when they were called back to the plate.

Released: 1998 Kobe?s All-Star debut came early, but this retro colorway took its time.

Released: 1992 Right before Michael Jackson’s favorite Jordan escaped its teenage years of being under wraps, JB brought it back out with a jammin’ release.

Released: 1995 Just like Mike, we weren?t sure for a minute if these would come back. Just like Mike, they were sure worth it when they did.

Released: 1991 Bo knows these were tough, but did Nike forget? These trainers took their time to re-release, but the strong OG colorways were a huge hit.

Released: 1994 Prime time: better late than never.

Released: 1991 The Ewing 33 Hi is set to lead off a long awaited line of Patrick retros.

Released: 1990 Jordan Brand decision makers made us wait a sweet 16 before we got a chance at one of the freshest colorways of all time. With the recent South Beach sicknesses, its safe to say after another six we’re ready for these again.

Released: 1993 We thought these were sent to the retirement home, but Converse brought them back to celebrate their ten year anniversary.

Released: 1995 Yes, we?re still waiting, but a confirmed preview is enough to get us ready. Released: 1991 No pump is a problem for some, but we?re still happy these Robinsons are returning.

[618
{"2":"type-post
