Representing for the ?98 but sporting no numeric notation, the Nike Air Max Plus is in many ways a forgotten favorite. Tuned Air cushioning and dip-dye uppers resulted in a progressive runner that was technical, flashy, and took well to color. The ?Tigers? makeup caught on as one of the fiercest; competing for wear time with the best from basketball and coolest of classics in even the tightest of rotations.

While annual Air Maxes have received the timeless treatment, these serve as a better snapshot of their year. Tuned Air cushioning was in many ways short lived thanks to the Shox dynasty and the bright hues that bolded the uppers soon played the background to softer shades ushered in by the throwback wave.

With the retro game stuck in a time warp somewhere between 1992 and 1997, we think it?s time these run again.
