Last Thursday, Emilio Rojas impressed longtime fans and made new ones at our Inaugural South By Snkrs Day Showcase. Far from a freshman in the sneaker game, his rotation ranges from running shoes older than his peers to footwear made strictly for strutting. So, what?s the Rochester rapper rocking when he?s rolling with the likes of Rick Ross or stunting at a special occasion? Read on to find out.

Emilio Rojas: “I have tons of them from years ago. I have the OGs. Mine are yellow. I don?t like to buy re-issues man. I feel like I?m cheating. I f*ck with Jordan retros, but that?s just ’cause I like the Jordan retros. I don?t mess with the Air Max retros because you can get the OGs if you look hard enough.”

Emilio Rojas: “I wear those more than anything, I love ?em. I used to be a sneakerhead. I used to buy mad Air Maxes, but I like the chancletas now; always with socks though. You don?t let your feet free because there?s too many germs in New York! That?s my fresh. That?s my swag right there. I get on a plane and go to meetings like that. I feel like it?s kind of belligerent and kind of Spanish at the same time.”

Emilio Rojas: “I picked those up like five years ago, and I rock them out. I?ve worn ?em about 30 times and they still hold up. They?re in perfect condition. They?re too small, so I don?t wear them unless it?s like an occasion. They have elephant print, 3M, and they?re black. Nowadays, the colorways are all Skittles-y. I?m not messing with it and that?s why I?m on my old sh*t.”

Emilio Rojas: “These boots are just super clean. They keep it kind of hip-hop, kind of rugged and kind of couture. It?s a good marriage of street culture with Timberland and this new, more fashion forward stuff with Rag & Bone, which is a company that I really like.”

Emilio Rojas: “I like real clean stuff that looks good on the foot. Pop the tongue out, put fat laces in them, and keep them real old school and real original.”

Keep up with Emilio on Twitter and Facebook.

[1207912,618
1225742

2":"type-post

Nike Air Max 1 White/Red-Grey
