We all have heroes. We admire some because of who they are and some because of what they do. They inspire our interests, the way we live, the way we act, and sometimes even the way we dress. While anyone can be a hero, a common inspiration for many of us is athletes. LeBron James plays the role of hero to many now, but he?s always given credit to those that inspired him. In correlation with the Nike LeBron 9 “Griffey” release, we transcend five of LeBron?s favorite sports heroes into creative colorways. Check them out, and tell us your favorites in the voting poll and comment section.

Inspiration: Air Jordan 4 “Cement”

At one point in time, the Air Jordan 4 was considered progressive, innovative, and loud. That doesn?t sound too different from the LeBron 9. Pairing the comfort and performance of the latest LeBrons with the ?Cement? colorway would be a game changer.

Inspiration: Nike Air Diamond Turf

Flair, flash, and athleticism liken King James to Primetime. After a sample colorway of the same inspiration on the VIIs, it?s time these high step on the hardwood.

Inspiration: Nike Air Penny 1 “Orlando”

Who didn?t look up to Penny Hardaway growing up? He had the best kicks since MJ, the best commercials, and a playing style all on his own. We’d love to see these release just like we’d love to see LeBron’s Foamposite PEs drop.

Inspiration: Dallas Cowboys Uniforms

LeBron loves the Cowboys, citing Emmitt Smith as one of his childhood favorites. The fact that they share the same colors as the Yankees make these a matching field day.

Inspiration: Nike Air Trainer SC “Auburn”

Bo knows football, Bo knows sneakers, and Bo knows ?Bron. LeBron?s raw power and speed have caused comparisons to his hero Jackson. The only question is whether or not they?ll ever call for a Browns or Dolphins colorway.

[polldaddy poll=5999276]

[618
1206811,1206810

2":"type-post

Michael Jordan
