He?s also been stacking up boxes. With an affinity for Air Jordans (strictly black? we?ll get to that) and a taste for designer sneakers, Chip?s rotation is top notch. While his new mixtape <em>Tell Ya Friends<\/em> is currently making waves on the web, we asked Chip to tell us what kicks he?s rocking right now. Check out Chip&#8217;s &#8220;<a title=\"My 5\" href=\"\/tag\/my-5\/\">My 5<\/a>&#8221; to see why he favors black sneakers and how he scored a free pair of Kanye&#8217;s kicks from Kid Cudi.<\/p>\n<h2>Air Jordan 8 ?Playoffs?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Chip Tha Ripper:<\/strong> &#8220;I?m rocking these now with Dior jeans and a black Louis Vuitton hoody. I got these in 2010 but never really wore them. The <a href=\"\/air-jordans\/air-jordan-8\/air-jordan-8-black-bright-concord-aqua-tone\/\">&#8220;Aquas&#8221;<\/a> are dope too. Those would?ve been number six. I actually got those for my son. Those were his first shoes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Louis Vuitton Jasper Black<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Chip Tha Ripper:<\/strong> &#8220;I was over at Cudi?s crib and he was showing me stuff in his closet. He had a pair of them-brand new, never worn. I was like, &#8216;Man, I?ve been trying to find those.&#8217; I tried to offer him money and he was like, &#8216;Just take them. I won?t wear them.&#8217; I?m like, &#8216;Damn, cool!&#8217; I had spent like a month looking for them. You can never find those things. Those are some of the coldest shoes right there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Air Jordan 13 ?Playoffs?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Chip Tha Ripper:<\/strong> Fresh. Those are my joints right there-one of my favorites. I didn?t have the originals. I?m glad they?re doing this retro stuff because I would?ve missed out on a lot. Coming up as a little guy, we couldn?t afford that stuff.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Maison Martin Margiela Metallic Gold Leather ?Mirror?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Chip Tha Ripper:<\/strong> I don?t really want to put them on a pedestal because, to me, they ain?t no different than my Jordans. You can wear those with anything. Sometimes, I just wear all black like Nino Brown.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Air Jordan 7 ?Raptors?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Chip Tha Ripper:<\/strong> When these came out the first time I didn?t get them. When they came back out, I was all over it. The pair I have is pretty fresh. If they do anything different to a re-retro, I might grab them. I really only wear dark shoes so I gave the ?Orlandos? away to my homeboy. All my Jordans are dark. The only white pairs I have are the ?Cardinals? and the ?True Blues?.
