Today, New Balance and Detroit based boutique Burn Rubber unveil extremely detailed? images of their latest creation, the Burn Rubber x New Balance MT580 <\/strong>“Workforce” Pack. Paying tribute to the two distinct blue and white collar work forces, both pairs in this tandem feature tonal grey mesh uppers with black suede overlays. Each pair is also given an off-white trim, which matches perfectly with the midsoles. Setting the two pairs apart, the “Blue Collar” pair takes on a unique look with an all-orange outsole that matches perfectly with the orange laces. Additionally, the “White Collar” colorway takes on a much more subtle look, making use of a clear outsole and black laces. The “Blue Collar” New Balance 580 will release on February 1, while the “White Collar” pair hits shelves on March 1. Burn Rubber’s explanation of the inspiration behind the New Balance MT580 “Workforce” Pack: When living in the Metro Detroit area you come across a lot of people that work for the auto industry. These people are not just workers to us. These people represent our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and friends. A couple of years ago when the Auto industry went through its toughest time our family and friends were affected heavily by the down turn. People lost jobs, insurance, houses, and a way of life that they were used to. Needless to say this was a time for restructuring and new beginnings. After witnessing the resiliency of the community around us we decided to do this project to pay homage to them. This is our way of showing that we notice and appreciate what these men and women have done four our country. <\/em><\/p>\n
