The Good, The Bad, The Fugly for the week in sneakers ending Friday January 16th was pretty simple, with the exception of “The Good”. With Saucony stepping up their game, and dropping some fresh kicks in the Candy Pack, and Asics teaming up with Patta for a trio of artist collaborations on the GEL Lyte Speed, there was a lot of good choices.

As for “The Bad” and “The Fugly” they pretty much were decided the minute we made them live on the site. Without further ado, check out this weeks choices.

You can check out all the previous editions of The Good, The Bad, The Fugly [HERE].

The Good

First off, I have to say that I am not a fan of Kobe Bryant or the Lakers. Far from it actually, as I am a Sacramento Kings fan.

With that said, this “Carpe Diem” Zoom Kobe IV keeps growing on me, the snakeskin, the colorway, the technology all ads up to me actually considering buying them. Though it in some way seems like blasphemy. Maybe it’s that Ankle Insurance commercial working it’s magic on me, therefore it ends up as this weeks “The Good”.

The Bad

There is two crazy fresh kicks in this latest Nike hybrid sneaker, but the combination of the two is like making a peanut butter and pickles sandwich, it’s just not right. These silhouettes can be combined, but the combination of colorways from these classics is definitely “The Bad” call of the week.
