New York City is often called “The Big Apple.” Today, the “city that never sleeps” has been given a special treat. Dubbed the New Balance US574 “I Love NYC” colorway, this pair of kicks is a tribute to passion and beauty of one of the world’s greatest cities. This pair features a completely red mesh and suede upper, with hints of grey, white and black accenting the side panel branding, heel tab, midsole, inner liner and ankle collar. These 574s were made exclusively for the Grand Opening of the New Balance Store in NYC. New York ‘heads, eat your heart out.

suede and mesh absolutely come to mind, but a rusty orange?! We’re not saying that NB hasn’t released some dope orange kicks over its illustrious history (a J.Crew 1300 and one of this season’s 1700s come to mind as recent examples), but seeing as the brand is typically associated with whites, greys and navy blue, not to mention their Boston roots, this one comes as a bit of a surprise.
