Cali classics, skate shoes, Jordans; Dom Kennedy doesn’t discriminate when it comes to the kicks. The LA MC has been on the scene for a minute with a sneaker collection that dates back further than his debut. His current grind sees a healthy diet of tour dates and studio sessions with footwear for every occasion. We recently caught up with Dom to see what he’s rocking these days. Check out his current rotation.<\/p>\n

Dom Kennedy:<\/strong> “They remind me of another West Coast classic, the Cortez, (only) with a sleeker bottom. They’re real smooth but comfortable as hell. When I first got them I wore them like five days in a row. That’s how I knew I really liked them. It actually took me a while to find a pair in my size; I didn’t know they were selling that well. I wear those a lot to the studio and when I’m back home. It’s a hell of a shoe.”<\/p>\n

Dom Kennedy:<\/strong> “Classic. The ones I wear are from the Defining Moments Pack a few years back. The Air Jordan 1 is in my top 3. I like the silhouette because they’re a high top and real clean. The 1s are a lot more functional with my jeans.”<\/p>\n

Dom Kennedy:<\/strong> “I used to wear black a lot and I shouted it out in a lot of songs. This year I switched to navy. Navy hat, navy jacket, navy blue Sk8-His.”<\/p>\n

Dom Kennedy:<\/strong> “I wear those at the airport. Sometimes to the studio too, but usually when traveling. It’s a hassle going through the airport and having to take your shoes on and off. When I get where I’m going I throw the Sk8-His back on.”<\/p>\n
