Although this week was shorter than usual (due to a few days off from the holidays), there were still a few exclusives and retroes such as the sneakers you see to the right.<\/p>\n<p>With that said, click the jump to read the analysis of our staff picks for week 16. What was your favorite sneaker of the week?<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!--nextpage--><br \/>\n<strong>Air Jordan 23 Kevin Martin PE- Nick Engvall<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I have to go with Kevin Martin&#8217;s PE Jordan 23&#8217;s. It&#8217;s good to see my team&#8217;s leader back on court, and it&#8217;s always good to see a sick pair of black and purple player exclusive&#8217;s on his feet. I definitely need to get my hands on a pair of these in the future. Even if the Kings continue to suck, at least K-Mart has some fresh Jordan&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!--nextpage--><strong>Nike Air Penny 2 &#8220;Triple Black&#8221; &#8211; George Kiel<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<p>I personally think Nike and all other brands should use the &#8220;triple black&#8221; effect on a lot more of its retro releases. Imagine some of your favorite Jordan sneakers in all black (if they haven&#8217;t already dropped in that colorway). Sometimes a simple all-black sneaker is enough. With the Nike Air Penny 2 being one of my top 5 sneakers of all time, this was a no-brainer for me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!--nextpage--><br \/>\n<strong>Nike Air Penny 3 Retro &#8211; Matt Halfhill<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The week was short thanks to a few days off from the Holidays (Happy New Years everyone by the way), but my pick for the week without a doubt is the Nike Air Penny III.  It feels like it was only yesterday my request for these kicks was denied by my mom even though they went on sale in my size.  There were a number of shoes I didn&#8217;t get younger since my parent&#8217;s limit was $50, but missing out on these was a tough go.  Nike helped me and many others out a few months back giving a second chance at the Nike Air Penny II&#8217;s and there is no way I am missing out on this second go round of the Nike Air Penny III.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!--nextpage--><br \/>\n<strong>Nike 1World Project &#8220;CLOT&#8221; Air Force 1- Greg Grovey<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">These shoes are amazing! Not only do they have the red silk resting ever so gently on a white midsole, with an air bubble, but they also have a lasered dark brown appearance that can be reveiled once the red layer of silk is torn, peeled, scratched, or even burned off. Now if I can just find the number to my Hong Kong conect.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!--nextpage--><br \/>\n<strong>Nike Air Griffey Max 1 &#8220;Fresh Water&#8221; &#8211; Peter Sim<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Finally, Nike is hitting their retro stride in 2009 with the Eggplant Foams, Safety Orange 95s, the Air Pegasus, and the Air Griffey Max.  I would venture to say that Ken Griffey Jr&#8217;s signature line is right behind MJ, Penny, and Bo Jackson&#8217;s in the level of consistency and anticipation every time their sneaker dropped.  Although I wish they released Griffey&#8217;s 1995 shoe with the &#8220;JR&#8221; on the tongue, beggars can&#8217;t be choosers.
