#12 – Nike SB Dunk High “Quagmire”

The Nike SB Dunk “Quagmire” kicks off our cartoon-inspired sneakers. We cannot ignore the fact that Quagmire’s clothes are exactly showcased on the upper. Nevertheless, a very creative inspiration; however, I do not know if they are powerful enough to have one screaming “Gigiddy, gigiddy, gigiddy, gigiddy…oh yeah!”

#11 – Nike SB Dunk Mid “Donatello”

We would have really liked to see tributes to all of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on sneakers, yet the Donatello Mid and the Michelangelo Low will have to keep us content for now. Besides the colorways, this is not much of an inspiration. Nike could have went much further with this by creating sneakers inspired by Splinter, Shredder Rock Steady and Bee Bop!??

#10 – Puma Clyde Vaughn Bode “Cheech Wizard”

Puma paid tribute to Bod?? by celebrating the 50th birthday of the Cheech Wizard. The shoe takes inspiration from Cheech Wizard’s infamous hat by using the yellow and red colors and stars. Puma also gets points for using one of their classic sneakers for the tribute, the Puma?? Clyde.

#9 – Reebok “Voltron” Package

We applaud this collection because Reebok designed a sneaker for every character on the Voltron Vehicle Team. However, although Voltron has become somewhat of a popular cartoon, is this Reebok’s answer to the Nike Transformers pack?

#8 – Nike SB Dunk Mid “Charlie Brown”

Using the jean-like texture on the upper to coincide with Charlie Brown’s shorts was very creative. In addition, the design on the heel area also completed the inspiration. Also, we cannot ignore the fact that this sneaker came with an extra set of yellow laces. Overall, this was a great cartoon-inspired sneaker.

#7 – Nike Dunk SB “Super Heroes/Villains Pack”

This Villans/Super Heroes Pack was pretty good as far as colorway. However, how much effort did Nike put into designing the Venom-inspired Dunk? Nonetheless, the multiple textures seen on the upper made gave each sneaker a nice, clean look. Can we get a few more villains?

#6 – Adidas Gil Zero “Tweety Bird”

Much like the Gil Zero “Halo”, this sneaker was inspired by one Gilbert Arenas’s favorites -?? Tweety Bird. To say the least, this sneaker contains a mixture of a few vivid colors; however, each color has its own little tribute. The dashes of orange represent Tweety’s beak and feet while the turquoise blue coincides with his eyes. Las but not least, a picture of Tweety Bid is embroidered towards the heel.

#5 – Reebok Court Victory Pump “Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer”

Reebok Pump Omni Lite “Frosty the Snowman”

Most of you know these two characters by their movies, yet, each story started off as a theatrical cartoon short first. As for the sneakers, this is arguably one of the better shoes on the list tribute-wise (not sneaker-wise!). The Court Victory Pump possesses a brown suede upper representing Rudolph’s fur while the red pump stands for none other than his big red nose. The Omni Pump Lite gives a chilling effect with the White/Blue colorway we usually correlate with winter seasons.

#4 – Offspring x New Balance 576 “Masters of the Universe”

Everybody remembers watching He-Man battle Skeletor episode after episode. The colorways of each sneaker went well with the respective character it represented, but even if they didn’t, these New Balance 576’s were nice anyway. Featuring suede and mesh on the upper, it is safe to say these were some of the better New Balance releases we had seen.

#3 – New Balance MT580 “Spy Vs Spy”

Bodega x Puma Sky Hi 2 “Spy Vs Spy

Similar to the Offspring x New Balance 576 “Masters of the Universe” we just showed you, this New Balance release was easily on of the better packs whether it be inspired closely or not. With that said, it still represented Spy Vs Spy very well by including details such as the explosives photos on the heel.

#2 – Nike SB Dunk High “Marge Simpson”

Don’t you think of Marge Simpson when you look at this sneaker??? It resembles her to the tee. From the yellow skin tone to the blue hair all the way to her green dress, this SB resembles every detail. All we need is some red shoelaces to represent her shoes and necklace. Nevertheless, this is one of the best on the list. Why was Nike SB Dunk “Marge Simpson” not number one? Click the next page to see what cartoon character hopped over this one.

#1 – Hare Jordan 7 “Bugs Bunny”

Is there a more closer cartoon inspiration than the Air Hare Jordan 7 “Bugs Bunny?” To say the least, even the “Hare” nickname gives it its own added creativity to the sneaker. Although most of our feet are not made this way (I hope not), this may be one of the most creative, rarest designs will ever see in the sneaker world!

Now that our Sneaker Geek series has come to an end, we want you to be the judge!
