In back to back years, Converse skater Tom Remillard has taken the podium at Coastal Carnage. Was the fix in for 2011? Hardly; the San Diegan is just that good. And to make repeating even more unlikely, he had to outskate legends Lance Mountain, Tony Hawk and Christian Hosoi, as well as the fleet of younger skaters after the $15,000 prize. It’s hard out there for a champ.<\/p>\n
Converse?s Coastal Carnage<\/strong> weekend brought more than just sick skating to Huntington Beach. Talented skaters and plenty of talent were all on hand, as was the upcoming Fall\/Winter 2011 lineup of CONS<\/strong> kicks. Ambassadors Rune Glifberg and Kenny Anderson gave us looks as their upcoming and new sigs, and designer Ryan Case spoke on the subtle design details that make each model a great homage to the history of the Star Chevron brand, but also a strong step forward.
