Air Jordan 7 “Cardinal”

Original Debut: November 1992

Expected Release: June 18, 2011

We kick off our “22 Sneakers to Look Forward to for the Rest of 2011” list with the “Cardinal” Air Jordan 7. This shoe barely made the list considering its release date is only three days away. Although Jordan Brand has released multiple Air Jordan 7 colorways this year, the return of the “Cardinal” colorway may be the most anticipated with the exception of the “Bordeaux” AJ7.

Expected Release: July 1, 2011

Nike has put a lot behind its Foamposite releases over the past couple of years. Wale debuted this “Retro” Nike Air Foamposite Pro months ago and has had many sneaker enthusiasts salivating at the mouth since. No worries. It will be available in exactly two weeks.

Original Debut: Air Jordan 5 Black/Metallic Silver – February 1990 | Air Jordan 5 White/Midnight Navy-Varsity Red – N/A

Expected Release: Air Jordan 5 Black/Metallic Silver – Fall 2011 | Air Jordan 5 White/Midnight Navy-Varsity Red – July 2, 2011

The texture makeups of both of these Air Jordan 5s have been criticized over the past few weeks, but many of you would be lying to yourselves if either of these were not on your radar. Yeah, the nubuck on the black 5s may throw you off a little bit as does the patent leather textured upper on the White/Midnight Blue-Varsity Red colorway. However, we all tend to flock to any colorway of the Air Jordan 5.

Original Debut: 1998

Expected Release: Winter 2011

The Nike Total Air Foamposite Max, a shoe most associated with Tim Duncan, is considered one of Nike’s best basketball shoes ever. Much like last holiday season’s Nike Air More Uptempo and the Air Go LWP releases, this shoe will be one of Nike Basketball’s more favorable returns during the holiday season.

Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel-Lyte III “Mint”

Expected Release: Summer 2011

Fresh off the heels of the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS GT-II “Ultra Marine”, this photo of the upcoming ASICS Gel-Lyte III “Mint” surfaced on the web. It is only right to have a hot ASICS release during the summer, especially in a vibrant, head-turning colorway. We expect these to fly off of the shelves like the aforementioned “Ultra Marine” ASICS GT-II.

Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” & “Stealth”

Original Debut: Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” – 1994 | Air Jordan 3 “Stealth” – N/A

Expected Release: Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” – November 2011 | Air Jordan 3 “Stealth” – September 2011

January’s “White Cement” Air Jordan 3 was just the beginning of the exhilarating colorways we will receive of MJ’s third signature shoe this year. If it wasn’t for the “_____” Air Jordan 11 (don’t act like you’re clueless), the “Black Cement” Air Jordan 3 would arguably be the most anticipated shoe of the year. Of course, it overshadows the “Stealth” AJ3 and rightfully so; but, many sneaker enthusiasts have expressed interest in the “Stealth” colorway as well.

Original Debut: 1996

Expected Release: Fall 2011

Were you able to get your hands on the “Sport Red” Nike Air Griffey Max 1? If not, you still have a chance at one of, if not the most sought-after colorway of its kind. Inspired by Griffey’s time with the Seattle Mariners, the “Emerald Green” Griffey Max 1 will make a return after a 15-year hiatus.

Expected Release: Winter 2011

You never know what to expect from a Jeremy Scott designed adidas sneaker, and this adidas Originals JS “Panda” is a prime example of that. Which design is better: the “Teddy Bear” adidas Originals JS or this “Panda” pair?

Original Debut: Air Jordan 11 Low IE Black/Varsity Red – 1996 | Air Jordan 11 Low IE White/Black – N/A

Expected Release: Air Jordan 11 Low IE Black/Varsity Red – July 2011 | Air Jordan 11 Low IE White/Black – August 2011

Everyone has the “Concord” Air Jordan 11 at the top of their must-have list for 2011, but Jordan Brand will supply us with two additional Air Jordan 11 Low colorways in the IE version. Although these are not your average 11s, both colorways make for nice summer/fall wears.

Nike Air Shox Hyperballer

Expected Release: Summer 2011

What’s next for Nike Basketball? It seems as if we receive a new, innovative design from this sector of Nike every year. The Nike Shox Air Hyperballer has received a ton of praise ever since photos surfaced months ago. Did you think Nike Shox creations were dead? Not at all.
