Derrick Rose is surely not the only player that provided jaw-dropping moments this NBA season. Blake Griffin, 2011’s Rookie of the Year winner, was nearly on the ‘top 10 plays’ list every single night. Our Kicks On Court noticed Griffin rocking a slew of Nike Basketball PEs while attacking the rim on a nightly basis. In detail, Nike provided the rookie with multiple, head-turning Nike Air Max Fly By and Nike Hyperdunk 2011 PEs to many sneaker enthusiasts’ liking. Blake Griffin hit the hardwood in the Nike Basketball’s darling sneaker, the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse after an injury-riddled first season as a professional basketball player. He scored 20 points and 14 rebounds in his first game of the season against the Portland Trail Blazers. Was that his most memorable highlight in the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse White\/Varsity Red? Ask Timofey Mozgov, and we’re sure he will disagree willingly.<\/p>\n

Nike supplied many of its brand members with all-red sneakers in support of World AIDS Day at the beginning of December. Blake Griffin laced up a predominately red Hyperfuse while torching Tim Duncan and the Spurs for 31 points and 13 rebounds.<\/p>\n

New year, new kicks. Nike unofficially made Blake Griffin the poster boy for the newly-designed Nike Air Max Fly By. He laced up this Nike Air Max Fly By “Home” PE in the Clippers’ first game of the new year. Griffin recorded 31 points and 15 rebounds in the debut of this PE. Yet, many more took notice to this shoe when he scored 24 points, 14 rebounds and six assists against the Heat in a nationally televised game.<\/p>\n

Either Martin Luther King Jr. is one of Blake’s role models, or the former Oklahoma Sooner had an unspoken beef with former Tar Heel Tyler Hansbrough. Against the Pacers, he recorded 47 points and 14 rebounds on Martin Luther King Jr. Day while rocking the black\/gold Nike Air Max Fly By “MLK Day”.<\/p>\n

Throughout the 2010-2011 NBA season, Blake Griffin showed he belongs on the same court as the NBA’s top big men. In one of his few meetings with LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trail Blazers, he unveiled a new Nike Air Max Fly By “Away” PE and recorded 20 points and 18 rebounds.<\/p>\n

Blake Griffin took over during NBA All-Star Weekend in regards to sneakers. Nike made sure onlookers noticed Griffin’s footwear considering he debuted three new Nike PEs in a span of three days. The first of the three was this new, USA-esque Nike Air Max Fly By, a shoe he unveiled in the Rookie vs Sophomore game. He scored 14 points in only 13 minutes seeing that he had to save some energy for the All-Star Game and Dunk Contest. Imagine if he would have played all 48.<\/p>\n

Following the USA colored Nike Air Max Fly By, Griffin laced up another vibrant colorway of this sneaker in Saturday’s Dunk Contest. The Kia, a car in which he jumped over during the contest, is probably more popular than this PE. Yet, many sneaker enthusiasts were scrambling and looking for release information in regards to this shoe after All-Star Weekend.<\/p>\n

Blake Griffin became just the 44th player to make the All-Star roster as a rookie. While he only recorded eight points, five rebounds and five assists, Griffin soaked up a high volume of attention thanks to his debut of the Nike Hyperdunk 2011. As seen in the photo above, Griffin’s PE features a glow-in-the-dark application.<\/p>\n

Blake Griffin was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, therefore, it seems as if going home to play the Thunder will always be a circled date on his schedule every year. He returned wearing a new Nike Air Max Fly By Varsity Red\/Varsity Royal PE and recorded 28 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.<\/p>\n

As usual, the Los Angeles Clippers did not do a lot of winning, but, for once, their future looks very bright. Before the end of the 2010-2011 NBA season, Griffin unveiled one more colorway of the yet-to-be-released Nike Hyperdunk 2011 in Dallas. Luckily, we will have our chance at this pair because it is expected to hit retailers this summer.<\/p>\n
