Gilbert Arenas was the center of basketball discussion this weekend, as the combo guard was officially traded to the Orlando Magic in return for Rashard Lewis. How does this pertain to sneakers you ask? Well, Gilbert Arenas has undoubtedly been the surprise of Kicks On Court this season as he has rocked everything from the “Argon Blue” Air Jordan 11 Low IE, to the Air Jordan 2 University Blue/Black to a Dolce & Gabanna high-top shoe.

So, what will the combo guard wear in Orlando? Our Snkrs Day staff compiled a list of an abundance of sneakers Gilbert might wear in Orlando. In this feature, you will see a ton of sneakers from the lines of Penny Hardaway, Michael Jordan, Tracy McGrady and others. Take a look at our 26 Sneaker Options for Gilbert Arenas in Orlando.

Gilbert Arenas wore the “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11 a couple of times earlier this year, but this shoe would look even better with Orlando’s black jerseys. We’re sure Arenas will sport this shoe at least once with the pinstripe uniforms.

The “Atlantic Blue” Nike Air Penny II is arguably the best colorway of Penny’s second signature model, and we have yet to see it on court since its return last year. Who better than Gilbert Arenas to debut this retro on court?

A few years ago, Gilbert Arenas torched Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers for 60 points to many people’s surprise. Does he have something against Kobe Bryant? Hopefully not. We’d love to see Arenas debut the “Dark Knight” Nike Zoom Kobe Vs on court.

The Air Jordan 7 DMP 60+ is another great selection for Arenas. It is one of the few Orlando Magic colored sneakers to own a pinstripe design, and we can all agree that the pinstripe Magic jerseys are the best to date.

Nike supplied Penny Hardaway with some superb sneakers before his signature line begin such as this Nike Air Up. He wore this sneaker during the 1994-95 NBA season in which the Orlando Magic slipped past the Chicago Bulls and made it to the Finals. Could Gilbert Arenas find the same luck this year if he laced the Nike Air Up for a couple of games?

Remember when Tracy McGrady rocked mismatched adidas T-Mac 2s in the All-Star game? Gilbert would probably have to pay David Stern if he ever decided to pull that off, but it would be pretty cool to see him rock the shoes of Orlando Magic’s other number 1.

The original colorway of the Air Jordan 14 Low may be a nice selection for Gilbert Arenas. If you recall, this shoe released in 1999 and features a predominately Varsity Royal suede upper. Arenas has rocked a ton of Air Jordans this year, and this colorway of MJ’s 14th signature shoe is a very big possibility.

The Nike Air Go LWP was one of Penny’s most recognized sneakers even though it was not apart of his signature line. We would not be surprised to see Arenas rocking these especially since they recently returned to retailers.

The original, Red/Yellow-Black Nike Air Bakin’ has been spotted on the feet of Dorrell Wright sparingly within the last couple of years, but we have yet to see this colorway on court since its original release in 1997. Maybe Arenas can rock this sneaker at least once. If you recall, this shoe retroed in the fall of 2008.

Although this shoe is associated with the team Arenas just left, the original colorway of the Air Jordan 17 would be a nice pick for Arenas in ‘Home’ games. We’d much rather see him bringing the silver briefcase to the locker instead of other things.

There has been talk that Gilbert Arenas will sport jersey #1 in Orlando. Therefore, he must lace up the Nike Air Max Penny I a few times, right? Unless he has the original pair, we’ll have to wait to see him in these later this year, as this highly-coveted Nike Air Max Penny I will make its return during the spring of 2011.

We will probably never see Arenas lace up Reeboks due to his obvious fetish of Air Jordans. Yet, this Reebok Pump Omni Zone would be a perfect match for Orlando’s ‘Away’ jerseys should he ever decide to give the brand a try.

Many memories are attached to this sneaker, as the Air Jordan XVIII was the last sneaker we’d see Michael play in before his official retirement. This shoe was packaged with a special towel and brush: two things we’d rather see Arenas carry with him in the locker room.

Is there a more recognizable silhouette in Hardaway’s line than the Nike Air Penny II? Although the “Atlantic Blue” pair is considered the best by many, this Black/Varsity Royal-White, which re-released in the fall of 2008, is likely to be seen more in the closet of sneaker enthusiasts. This is a must-wear for Arenas in Orlando.

Let’s face it; we will never see another Foamposite Lite like Nate Robinson’s “Kryptonate” pair; yet, this Royal/Black is not too shabby. Although this is a two-year old sneaker, Arenas could definitely turn heads with this sneaker in today’s game.

The adidas T-Mac 1 is arguably Tracy McGrady’s most sought-after sneaker in his short-lived signature line. If Arenas chose to wear this shoe, it would undoubtedly bring back memories, as the T-Mac 1 was one of the highest selling adidas signature shoes of all time.

The “Motorsports” Air Jordan XX3 would be a nice fit for Arenas when Orlando pulls out the alternate Royal Blue jerseys. Even the black jerseys would coincide nicely with this shoe. It is inspired by Michael’s ‘New Love’ (motorsports) and would be a nice, introduction sneaker for Arenas on his new team.

Courtney Lee, the former shooting guard for the Orlando Magic, gave us a glimpse of the old Penny Hardaway by wearing these in the 2009 NBA Playoffs. If you recall, the Orlando Magic made it to the Finals that year. Maybe Gilbert Arenas can have the same luck in leading his team to the Finals by wearing these Penny IIIs.

The Jordan 6 Rings model is definitely not one of the most popular Jordan models; however, if given the right color scheme, it can easily win over sneaker enthusiasts. Many have inquired about this sneaker’s 2011 release information. Is this one of, if not the best Jordan 6 Rings colorway to date?

The Nike Air Force 180 may be too bulky for Arenas’ taste; yet, Arenas has proven that he will rock just about anything on the court, right (see Dolce & Gabanna)? This Nike Air Force 180 would be a nice change-up for Arenas minus the red accents.

Seeing that these Air Jordan 10s are nicknamed the “Orlando”, there’s no better way to represent the best signature series of all time all while representing the team you play for. The Air Jordan 10 “Orlando” would look perfect with the Magic’s ‘Home’ jerseys.

As expected, this list is filled with Penny Hardaway basketball sneakers. The Nike Air Penny III is labeled one of Penny’s most comfortable, performance-ready sneakers in his line; therefore, this is a no-brainer for Mr. Arenas.

It seems as if the buzz for the Nike 1/2 Cent has died down with every passing colorway; however, you cannot ignore the buzz that was created off of this original Nike 1/2 Cent release. We have spotted Hakim Warrick rocking the “Eggplant” and “Spark Green” Nike 1/2 Cent; however, we’d love to see Arenas bring these back to the hardwood.

Is it even safe to wear Air Jordan 1s on court these days? This Air Jordan 1 Black/Varsity Royal would be a great selection for Arenas, especially with the black ‘Away’ jerseys. If not, there is an Black/Varsity Royal Air Jordan Alpha 1 on the market; however, we’d much rather see him in the AJ1.

The Nike Air Foamposite One “Dark Neon Royal” is undoubtedly one of, if not the most highly-anticipated sneaker of 2011. We have heard that this Foamposite One is scheduled to release in February, therefore, it would be a perfect sneaker selection for Arenas, especially if he chosen as one of the nominees for the Skills Challenge/3-Point Shootout during All-Star Weekend.

We know this may be a bit of a stretch, but can you really put a limit to the sneaker selections of Gilbert Arenas. The guy scored 23 points against the Lakers while Dolce & Gabanna! Surely, he can at least get 10 points and five dimes in the Foamdomes!

Now that you have seen our 26 Sneaker Options for Gilbert Arenas in Orlando, let us know which pair you’d like to see him in by way of our voting poll below.

Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”
