ATR (Above the Rim) held a launch event for its new footwear line late last week. If you recall, the basketball-themed apparel brand has been an affiliate of Reebok; however, Collective Brands, Inc acquired it earlier this year. ATR’s new footwear launch includes a signature sneaker for Minnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Martell Webster dubbed the Elevate MW5. The pair shown above is done up in Minnesota Timberwolves colors to coincide with his current team. However, the other pairs (shown below) feature black, red and white color schemes. These pairs could have easily been constructed when Webster was still a member of the Porltand Trail Blazers. Nevertheless, the mid-cut model features minimal branding (tongue, toe area) and multiple sections of mesh for breathability. What are your preliminary thoughts on the ATR Elevate MW5?
