Devin Booker<\/a> is releasing a player exclusive (PE) version of his Nike Book 1<\/a> with the upcoming Nike Book 1 “Forrest Gump”<\/strong> release. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by its namesake, the “Forrest Gump” Book 1 emulates the iconic Nike Cortez “Forrest Gump” colorway, worn by Tom Hanks’ character in the titular film. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nike Cortez<\/a> debuted in 1972 and became a staple for runners with its sleek white leather, vibrant red swoosh, and striking blue accents. After its debut, Charlie’s Angel’s Farrah Fawcett skateboarded in the white, red, and blue Cortez, elevating the Cortez in the eyes of the masses. But it was Tom Hanks\u2019 portrayal of Forrest Gump in 1994 that skyrocketed the shoe to iconic status. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
