Kobe Bryant’s last two signature sneakers have undoubtedly changed the climate of performance-based basketball sneakers. The Flywire-laced, low-cut basketball sneakers were frowned upon when they first surfaced. Now, they are worn more than any signature model in both pros and college ranks.<\/p>\n

While both of these shoes are considered revolutionary, the upcoming Nike Zoom Kobe VI, Kobe Bryant’s sixth signature sneaker, is expected to reach new heights in terms of performance. Nike Zoom Kobe V “Bruce Lee”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: Kobe Bryant debuted the “Bruce Lee” Nike Zoom Kobe V during a nationally televised game against the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers loss to the Nuggets for the second time during the 2009-2010 NBA season; however, Kobe won over many fans with this colorway of his fifth signature shoe. Nike paid tribute to Kobe?s love for Kung Fu with this special design. The yellow upper and laces are directly inspired by the yellow bodysuit Bruce Lee wore in ?The Game of Death?. There are also four red scratch marks on the lateral toe area. These marks duplicate the scratches Bruce Lee took while fighting in ?Enter the Dragon?.<\/p>\n

These obviously draw inspiration from the amount of championship rings Kobe possesses.<\/p>\n

However, the debut of the POP Kobe Vs would be overshadowed by the “Playoffs” Nike KD IIs and Durant’s performance.<\/p>\n

This unique design featured a white-to-purple gradient design that began at the toe (white) and ended at the heel (purple).<\/p>\n

It features Kobe Bryant embossed statistics such as 2835 (total minutes played), 25,970 (total points scored by the end of the season), 365 (season assist) 391 (rebounds), 27pt (ppg game average) 2010 (All Star) 73 (Games played) and 02.01.10 (the day he became the All Time Leading Scorer for the Lakers with 25,207 points scored).<\/p>\n

Calling these Kobe Vs “Chaos” is an understatement considering its erratic color scheme. Still, these caught the attention of many basketball fans and sneaker enthusiast. This new colorway actually featured a 100% snakeskin-textured toe box which is inspired by Kobe’s nickname, Black Mamba.<\/p>\n

In a game against the New Orleans Hornets, he incorporated Nike’s RED laces to show his support for AIDS awareness.<\/p>\n
