Clearly the Snkrs Day team was thinking about the upcoming hoops season when the members made their picks this weekend. LeBron is represented twice and the Black Mamba’s kicks are one writer’s favorite. A few runners also make appearances. Which was your favorite shoe from the last week? Head to the comments section and let us know.

Allison Halfhill

This is easily one of the nicest Reebok shoes in quite some time. Grey has been such a predominant color lately in sneakers, and adding the aqua to it, makes for a nice, subtle contrast. Well done.

Reebok Pump running Dual Light Grey/Aqua Everybody is anticipating the “Dark Neon Royal” Nike Air Foamposite One; however, the ‘Metallic Pewter’ Nike Air Foamposite One is on my extensive list of must-haves. Besides the “Copper” and “Eggplant” Foamposites, this may be one of the better new Foamposite One colorways yet.

Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Metallic Pewter’

Okay so technically I cheated with this pick, since there are currently no plans to retro the Air Zoom Generation. Still, this shoe remains one of my favorite hoops shoes ever. I had the White/Black-Red colorway when it first came out and absolutely destroyed them on the court. I’ve always been a fan of LeBron as a player, but his sneakers are almost as good and the AZG is very under appreciated. I may hold off on the 8 and see if I can’t find a pair of these instead.

Throwback Thursday: Nike Air Zoom Generation “First Game”

Mesh>leather. If you’ve tried on the new LeBron 8 you know how absurdly comfortable they are- absolutely incredible. Give me these in a Knicks colorway and I’m good.

Nike LeBron 8 V2

Albert Lin

My staff pick for this week is the 5 Rings Colorway of the Zoom Kobe V. I really liked the colorway when it first surfaced on the Zoom Kobe IV and it still looks great on this updated silhouette. In addition to great comfort and looks, this pair now boasts the colors of my hometown favorite LA Lakers.

Nike Zoom Kobe V “5 Rings”

I have never been a huge Air Max 90 fan, but I like these because of the nostalgic feeling I get when I see these in the old school “Mavericks” colorway. It takes me back to being a kid in Dallas watching the Mavericks; especially, when our big three players were Jamal Mashburn, Jim Jackson, and Jason Kidd. Those were the days.

Nike Air Max 90 Granite/White-Royal

Sid Ashford

I too was one of the many sneaker heads praying to someday log onto the Snkrs Day site and read word that the illustrious Nike Air More Uptempo will be retroed for the first time ever in the historical “Olympic” colorway. I can still recall the feeling of being the first kid in my second grade class to rock the black/white colorway in 1996. It’s safe to say that feeling will be greatly surpassed with both colorways set to return really soon.

Nike Air More Uptempo “Olympic”

Clearly the Snkrs Day team was thinking about the upcoming hoops season when the members made their picks this weekend.…

[742
1225545

2":"type-post
