The Future Sole Jordan Melo M6 was undoubtedly a shocking surprise to Carmelo Anthony, Jordan Brand and an abundance of sneaker enthusiast nationwide. 17-year-old Austin Jermacans, winner of the 2009 Future Sole Competition, became a household name within the sneaker community for this incredible design. Carmelo wore multiple colorways of this design, along with many variations of the original Jordan Melo M6 during the 2009-2010 NBA season.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: If you recall, the Future Sole Jordan Melo M6 debuted in retailers at the end of May; however, Carmelo Anthony first wore these fan favorites at the beginning of March against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Melo scored 30 points on Durant in a very heated battle between the two superstars.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: The Denver Nuggets were the first team to support the NBA’s annual Green Week this year. In detail, the NBA takes one week out of the year to raise awareness for protecting the environment by wearing green apparel such as headbands, socks and sneakers. Anthony sported a white\/green Jordan Melo M6 to show his support.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: During the World Basketball Festival, Jordan Brand athletes such as Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony showed up at Rucker Park for the Jordan Breakfast Club. It gave the kids from NYC an opportunity to put their skills to work in front of the aforementioned NBA stars. Carmelo showed up to the event in the Air Jordan 2 University Blue\/Black, a sneaker that released at the end of July.

Analysis<\/strong>: Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets opened the 2009-2010 NBA season against the Utah Jazz. Many of you may remember Melo’s explosive dunk on Utah Jazz power forward Paul Millsap. Anthony also debuted the ‘Home’ version of the Jordan Melo M6 and scored 30 points in a win.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: Carmelo Anthony torched the Trail Blazers for 41 points in the Nuggets first road game of the season. He also debuted the Away version of his sixth signature sneaker; it coincides perfectly with the Nuggets Away jerseys as it features a Black\/University Blue-Varsity Maize color scheme.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: Players all over the NBA laced up new sneakers in game 1 of their respective teams’ series. Carmelo sported one of his many “Playoff Edition” Future Sole Jordan Melo M6 in game 1 of the Denver Nuggets-Utah Jazz first round series. These PEs seem to be more fit for the Jazz players as minimal navy and university blue hints offset the white\/cement print base.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: In mid-February, many sneaker enthusiasts were anticipating what the best players in the world would be wearing in the 2010 NBA All-Star game. Prior to that weekend, Melo sported a new Jordan Melo M6 colorway in the last game before All-Star weekend. This pair featured a similar color scheme to the original Home Melo M6s.<\/p>\n

In one of the first Home games of 2010, Carmelo scored 37 points against the Jazz while sporting a new tri-colored Jordan Melo M6. It featured a Denver Nuggets-associated color scheme much like the majority of his ‘Home’ PEs.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: Carmelo was one of the lone bright spots on the West All-Star team in this year’s All-Star Game. He finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds all while wearing his “All-Star” Jordan Melo M6. His signature sneakers featured a Crimson Red base with multiple gold hints to coincide with the star logos of the same color on the West All-Star jerseys.<\/p>\n

This was the lone pair he wore in the ‘Away’ games. Its colorway mimics the Future Sole Jordan Melo M6 that released to the public earlier this year; however, University Blue plays a bigger part on this? pair.<\/p>\n
