Following his official Jordan Brand signing in the summer of 2009, Dwyane Wade had a very successful 2009-2010 NBA season…sneaker-wise. Sure, he sported some interesting Converse player exclusives in the years prior, however, the attention for his footwear grew immensely this year.

Throughout last season, we spotted Flash in some nice Air Jordan 12, Jordan 16.5 and Air Jordan 2010 PEs among other sneakers. We expect more sneaker surprises from him considering the attention surrounding the Heat this year. Until then, check out our Kicks On Court: Dwyane Wade’s Greatest Sneakers of 2009-2010.

Analysis: Cavs power forward Anderson Varejao will forever be one of the memorable posterboys thanks to Dwyane Wade’s monstrous dunk early in the season. It is easily one of the most talked-about dunks in the past couple of years. This dunk unintentionally became a great marketing scheme for the Jordan 16.5, the sneaker he wore during this highlight.

Analysis: During the second half of the 2009-2010 NBA season, the majority of the JB members (Ray Allen, Joe Johnson, Gerald Wallace) wore special Air Jordan 12 PEs. Wade’s PEs were very similar to the Air Jordan 12 White/Varsity Red that released during the holiday season of 2009; however, it featured minimal, distinctive elements such as the Varsity Maize stripe seen on the side panels.

Analysis: Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat opened up the 2010 NBA playoffs against the Boston Celtics. He also laced up a new colorway of the Air Jordan 2010 which featured a mainly black base with an all-Varsity Red toe cap. Minimal branding of the same color coincided nicely with the toe box making it arguably the best AJ 2010 of the year.

Analysis: Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat opened up the 2009-2010 NBA season against the New York Knicks. In Wade’s first game under Jordan Brand, he laced up a general release of the Jordan 16.5. If you recall, this sneaker hit retailers in November of 2009.

Analysis: Wade provided a nice treat for NBA fans on Christmas Day as he torched the Knicks for 30 points in Madison Square Garden. He was also the first player to be seen in the highly-anticipated Air Jordan Alpha 1. Did you purchase or pass on this sneaker when it released at the beginning of this year?

Analysis: Jordan Brand debuted the original colorway of the Air Jordan 2010 during the NBA All-Star Weekend. While we witnessed Wade in a ton of Air Jordan 2010 colorways during the second half of the season, we didn’t spot him in the original pair until a month after it released. Odd, right?

Analysis: The Air Jordan 2010 ?W3LCOME HOME?, which released on May 8th, 2010, represents exactly what its nickname states: a ?coming home? for Dwyane Wade. To coincide with Wade’s JB signing last summer, this shoe sort of exemplifies his career coming full circle (he is a Chicago, Illinois native). Wade wore this shoe against the Warriors two months before its release.

This was the first time Wade laced up the Jordan 16.5 Black/Varsity Red-Varsity Maize, a sneaker many of you claimed was the best Jordan 16.5 colorway to date.

Opponent: Boston Celtics

Analysis: Obviously, Dwyane Wade and the Heat didn’t have much success in the 2010 NBA playoffs; however, Wade provided sneaker enthusiast with a pleasant surprise by rocking an all-suede construction of the Air Jordan 2010 in the last game of his 2010 season. Do you prefer a suede makeup of the Air Jordan 2010 or its regular leather construction?
