Is there a more popular NBA player than Kevin Durant as of right now? Following his unforgettable, productive 2009-2010 NBA regular season (he led the NBA in scoring), Durant led the USA team to a gold medal in the FIBA World Championship games this summer and captured a ton of fans.<\/p>\n

As Kevin Durant’s game continues to prosper, so does his signature sneaker line. Kevin Durant’s second shoe, the Nike KD II, received positive feedback from basketball fans and sneaker enthusiast all over the world. We expect Nike to spend a lot more time and detail with each upcoming sneaker in his line. Nike KD II “Creamsicle”<\/h3>\n

\nOpponent<\/strong>: Dallas Mavericks<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: Kevin Durant and his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates chose one of its handful of nationally-televised basketball games to debut the “Creamsicle” Nike KD II. Although the Thunder lost the game, Durant and his teammates won over many sneakerheads with this particular colorway of his second signature shoe.<\/p>\n

Nike KD1 ‘Home’<\/h3>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: Durant returned to his old stomping grounds, the University of Texas, for a preseason game against the San Antonio Spurs. The Longhorns fans got to see Durant in the Erwin Center one more time. However, in addition to the fans seeing him in a new jersey, Kevin rocked a new, Home colorway of the Nike KD1, as his second signatures were not in stores yet.<\/p>\n

Nike KD II “Playoffs” (Away)<\/h3>\n

\nLocation<\/strong>: Staples Center
\nOpponent<\/strong>: Los Angeles Lakers<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: Kevin Durant led his young Thunder team into the NBA playoffs for the first time in franchise history this past season. Most of his teammates wore a new, all-black version of the KD II, while Durant sported a new colorway of his own. His “Playoffs” Nike KD IIs were also mostly black, yet, they possessed a white bottom and minimal Photo Blue hints on the swoosh border and midfoot strap.<\/p>\n

Nike KD II “All-Star”<\/h3>\n

\nOpponent<\/strong>: East All-Stars<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: KD showed basketball fans that he belonged in the All-Star game by recording 15 points and five rebounds in his first appearance. He also showed no fear in his sneaker game by wearing the Daring Red-colored “All-Star” Nike KD IIs.<\/p>\n

Nike KD II ‘Away’<\/h3>\n

\nOpponent<\/strong>: New Jersey Nets<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: Kevin Durant debuted the ‘Away’ Nike KD II on a very special night for him performance-wise. In a game against the New Jersey Nets, KD torched the Nets by scoring 40 points, while wearing his new, Black\/Photo Blue-Team Orange Nike KD IIs.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: As stated earlier, Kevin Durant started the season in the Nike KD1 seeing that the KD II’s release date was not until the beginning of 2010. Still, he garnered some sneaker attention by rocking a new, ‘Away’ colorway of the Nike KD1 in the Thunder’s first road game.<\/p>\n

\nOpponent<\/strong>: Los Angeles Lakers<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder undoubtedly made an interesting series out of their battle with the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round. It was also a great sneaker series as both teams rocked new colorways of Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant’s signature shoes. Durant and his teammates laced up a new, predominately white KD II colorway for the Home playoff games. This shoe also featured a Photo Blue-outlined, Team Orange swoosh which provided a nice, color compliment.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: The Oklahoma City Thunder played host to the Golden State Warriors in Durant’s first game wearing the ‘Home’ Nike KD II. He left us questioning, “Is it the shoes?”<\/em> as he crushed the Warriors by dropping 45 points in a win.<\/p>\n

Analysis<\/strong>: During the 2010 FIBA World Championship games, Durant undoubtedly made a household name for himself for those who weren’t familiar. Game after game, he carried the USA team on his back with monstrous performances. The “USA” Nike Zoom Hyperfuse became a big discussion amongst the sneaker community because of Durant’s legendary moments. In the championship game against Turkey, Durant knocked down seven three-pointers and finished with 28 points and five rebounds.<\/p>\n
