For the current Fall 2023 season, Japan’s Mizuno has tapped Italian-French retailer One Block Down to rework its Wave Rider 10 mesh runner.

Set to release next week, the upcoming One Block Down x Mizuno “Flame Wave” Pack comprises three striking colorways, “Onyx,” “Koi,” and “Amazon,” each featuring a grey mesh base with accenting hues throughout. The new model takes details from the Wave Rider 10 and Mizuno’s archive boasting a redesigned and deconstructed upper.

It wouldn’t be a collaboration without co-branding; One Block Down branding is spotlighted on the lateral heel while Mizuno’s RunBird logo arrives on the quarter panels. Just like the silhouette’s name entails, each pair sports eye-catching flame-inspired overlays on the mudguards and lower eyelets. Lastly, each colorway is rounded off with flaming suns on the heels to celebrate the collaboration between the two parties, as well as Mizuno’s Wave technology in the midsole to provide added stability.

The One Block Down x Mizuno “Flame Wave” Pack has already been released in Milan, Rome and Paris. Each colorway in the One Block Down x Mizuno “Flame Wave” Pack Collection will also be released on November 10 via Mizuno’s online store and select retailers. Each pair will retail for $160.
