Recent photos of the Air Jordan 1 “Banned” saw labeling we hadn’t seen in years. Not since 2001 had an Air Jordan retro model possessed the “Nike Air” tagging on the tongue or heel. When this change first came about many purists were very upset. Over the last nine years most have gotten accustomed to this practice but would love to see the original branding return. Is Nike Air set to come back on Js? We don’t know for certain but if so here’s 15 OG colorways we want back with Nike Air.<\/p>\n

Air Jordan 6 White\/Infrared<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

While we recently got these in the “Infrared Pack” there was of course no Nike Air to be seen. The white based colorway of Infrared 6s got passed up during the first run of retros leaving us with only the OG’s baring the classic heel. The chances of finding a pair of the originals is about as good as wearing them and not crumbling. Re-retro please!<\/p>\n

Air Jordan 4 White\/Cement<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Rumors have spread that this colorway will return in 2011, but will it have Nike Air? These are one of the few pairs on the list that have been retroed with a Swoosh on the back having released in 1999. Will history repeat itself?<\/p>\n

The True Blue 3s have always been a fan favorite but have never retroed with Nike Air. With the USA getting left out on the last retro run, would a stateside retro with OG branding redeem this shoe?<\/p>\n

Air Jordan 1 White\/Natural Grey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We’ve seen hoards of Air Jordan 1 colorways over the past few years, but one special colorway is still yet to come back. The White\/Natural Grey colorway is not only special for its subtleness but also for the fact that MJ often played in them. A proper retro would have us loving the AJ 1 agin.<\/p>\n

The Fire Red 4s have seen all forms returning in Laser and Fusion form, and soon both at the same time. The last time they came back for real the Mars Blackmon graphic wasn’t the only change as the heel featured a big Jumpman. Would a Nike Air release be ideal or overkill?<\/p>\n

The Black\/Cement Air Jordan 3 has seen a slew of retros, with the 1994 and 2001 pairs sporting Nike Air. The CDP saw no such Swoosh and also came with a pair of less than original 20s. One more retro please.<\/p>\n

Nike Air was seen on the 94 retro of the White\/Cement 3s but left off the ’03 pair. All signs point to the 2011 pair featuring the Jumpan. Is it too late to change?<\/p>\n

We’ll never turn down a Fire Red Jordan and we’ll never turn down a pair of 3s. Nike Air and a lighter shade of elephant would turn any sneaker store into a zoo.<\/p>\n

The turn of the millenium saw the return of the Black\/Infrared Air Jordan 6 with Nike Air. The recent pack did not. We’d gladly have them come back again.<\/p>\n

So many great OG colorways have came back, but why not the Sport Blue 6s? A retro with Nike Air would trump all the colorways 2010 saw.<\/p>\n

Not only were the retro “Grapes” near impossible to get, they also lacked Nike Air on the back. Nike Air + GR release + re-retro= Win!<\/p>\n

Will the 2011 Black\/Metallic Silver 5s sport Nike Air? Will they have a 23 on the side? We’re indifferent on the second question but we’d love a yes to the first one.<\/p>\n

Who doesn’t love Black\/Cement Air Jordan 4? The CDP retro was cool but it came with a pair of 19s most weren’t ready to see back so soon.<\/p>\n

Our Fire Red 5s from a few years back are beginning to yellow. Sea Glow and silica gel packs might solve that but it won’t change the branding on the back. We’re ready for round three.<\/p>\n

The Black Toes are a classic. A re-retro with Nike Air would get everyone to line up for the original again.
