Adidas<\/a> will undergo another major change as North America President Rupert Campbell will depart from the company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We regret to inform you that Rupert Campbell, president Adidas North America, has decided to leave Adidas to pursue other opportunities,\u201d according to an internal memo obtained by WWD<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Campbell first joined the brand in 2012 as a retail director and moved up to Senior Vice President for Europe until 2015. He returned as a Managing Director for the brand’s Russian operations in 2018 and became president of North America in January 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Campbell joined the company as Adidas faced racism and discrimination accusations<\/a> within its Portland headquarters. He was brought on to help repair relationships within the company and also help the brands’ sales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rupert has been responsible for enhancing Major League Soccer through Adidas’ league-wide sponsorship, the company’s Name, Image, and Likeness program, the Adidas Hip-Hop 50 celebration with Run-D.M.C. this summer, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We thank Rupert for his contributions to the success of Adidas over the last 11 years and wish him the very best for all his future endeavors,” the brand said in a statement to Snkrs Day while confirming his departure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Campbell’s last day is October 27 and executive board member Arthur Hoeld will oversee the department until a successor is found. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
