Today Randy Moss returns to where it all started. In 1998 Randy started off a brilliant NFL career in Minnesota where his athleticism, personality, and sheer playmaking ability would make him a fan favorite and one of the best to ever play?receiver. Early on as a Viking Moss would also become the frontrunner for Jordan Brand’s crossover to football. He would get two signature shoes from Jordan as well as rocking some incredible retro PEs and Jumpman kicks. With Randy once again a Viking we take a look back at his most memorable moments in Minnesota wearing Jordans.<\/p>\n

\nPlayoff Game vs. New Orleans Saints<\/p>\n

While the Saints may have recently gotten the best of the Vikes during the Playoffs, they didn’t have the same luck during the Moss days. Randy only caught two catches in the win but both happened to be touchdowns of 53 and 68 yards. To make matters worse he did so on a Saints secondary that saw a player wearing his old shoes, the Jordan Super Freak.

Randy made the Dolphins look like fish out of water with an impressive 11 catch, 2 touchdown performance. The Vikings beat out the Fins in a close one that saw Randy break the 100 yard receiving mark and also get in on the run game.

Randy Moss went head to head with the “Greatest Show on Turf” in this playoff classic. The game went down to the wire with Moss bringing in 9 catches for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns wearing his first shoe with JB.

Randy’s first year repping JB saw him wear a host of Jumpman laced shoes. In the 3’Percent he recorded a career high 204 yards receiving in an OT victory at Soldier Field. His 12 receptions were also a career high showing the Bears who ran the NFL’s “Black and Blue” division.

Perhaps the greatest play of Randy Moss’ career came in one of the few games he wore the Air Jordan 12. With no time left in the first half, Dante Culpepper heaved a bomb to Moss. While being pulled down by two defenders Moss dropped a ridiculous no-look lateral to Moe Williams who ran it in for a touchdown. Guess all those years of high school basketball with J-Dub paid off.
