Kevin Durant<\/a> and Nike<\/a> have made history as the Phoenix Suns forward and future Hall of Famer has signed a lifetime deal, as reported initially by Boardroom<\/em><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

KD enjoys an elite group of basketball players as Michael Jordan (Jordan Brand), LeBron James (Nike), and Steph Curry (Under Armour) have penned lifetime deals with their respective brands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I first signed with Nike, I couldn\u2019t have dreamed of how far we\u2019d go in this partnership. We\u2019ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We\u2019ve traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever. I\u2019m excited for the future and honored to be in rare company with this deal.<\/p>\nKevin Durant via Boardroom<\/a><\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Durant joined the Swoosh in 2007 as a member of the Seattle Supersonics and has built a franchise through his namesake signature line. With the success of the Nike KD15 and the imminent arrival of the Nike KD16<\/a>, the lifetime deal also intersects with Nike’s retro treatment of KD classics, like the upcoming Nike KD 4 “Galaxy”<\/a> from 2012. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lifetime deal will combine product launches with philanthropy efforts from both parties, Boardroom<\/em> reports.<\/p>\n\n\n
