Since joining the brand in 2007, Durant has become one of the most popular athletes in the world, both on and off the court. Here\u2019s a closer look at Durant\u2019s Nike brand deal and some of his most iconic sneakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durant signed his first Nike contract in 2007, fresh off of his standout college career at the University of Texas. He was immediately touted as the next big thing in basketball, with his lanky frame, impressive shooting ability, and seemingly endless potential. Nike recognized this and offered Durant a 7-year, $60 million contract, which was considered a massive deal at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, Durant has become one of the most valuable athletes in the world, with Forbes estimating his net worth at over $150 million.
