On March 27, adidas<\/a> contacted the U.S. Trademark Office to reject a Black Lives Matter<\/a> application for a trademark that featured three parallel stripes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, on March 29, the German brand withdrew its filing against BLM’s trademark application, as initially reported by Reuters<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

adidas’ original filing was issued as the iconic Three Stripes brand felt that BLM’s logo was “likely to cause confusion” with its logo on t-shirts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
