Adidas<\/a><\/strong> and Yohji Yamamoto<\/a><\/strong> continue on their pursuit of intentional craftsmanship and undeterred dedication as they launch the all-new adidas<\/strong>\u00a0Y-3 ITOGO<\/strong>. This innovative silhouette is a part of Chapter 1 of their Spring\/Summer 2023 Collection<\/a>, which was designed to usher in a new era for the 20-year partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name of the sneaker, adidas\u00a0Y-3 ITOGO, is a\u00a0moniker derived from a carefully considered combination of the Japanese words: \u201cIto\u201d \u2013 \u201cThread\u201d and \u201cGo\u201d \u2013 \u201cFive.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a minimal masterpiece, the silhouette is crafted with only five components, each of them being highlighted on the shoe by number: 1. Elastic Straps, 2. Knitted Upper, 3. Boost Midsole, 4. Rubber Cupsole, and 5. Thread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experimental footwear was designed as a provocation to rethink the lifecycle of shoes by omitting the use of glue. Each piece of the shoe is assembled using a hand-stitched process, allowing for the silhouette to be fully unraveled if you decide to cut the threads.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
