From the streets of London comes new label Corteiz, an upcoming streetwear brand that’s already amassed its own cult following. Corteiz gets ready to stake its claim as a serious contender as it readies a collaborative Nike Air Max 95.

For their first ever major brand collaboration, Corteiz took over the front of Niketown in the center of the capital, projecting their signature emblem onto the face of the store. In bat-signal fashion, the projection beckoned Corteiz fans to piece together that a potential Nike collaboration could be on the way soon.

Almost instantly, social media became flooded with the Corteiz logo on the front of the Oxford Street store. Corteiz is known for its guerrilla marketing tactics with unconventional campaigns, such as the Bolo Exchange and the 99p cargo pop-ups last year.

Using the Nike Air Max 95 as his canvas, Corteiz’s-own Clint dresses the sneaker is shades of Green. Clint shares first looks of the upcoming AM95 next to the classic Nike Air Max 95 OG “Neon,” which seems to have served as inspiration for the Corteiz pair as both sneakers share a similar midsole unit, with a Black exterior and Neon AIR bubbles.

The base of the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 is anchored in a layer of Deep Green leather that gets lighter with each panel. The toecap matches the base layer and complements the camo print on the sockliner. The top layer of the AM95 is adorned with netting for added texture. The sneaker is finished with Corteiz branding on the tongue, heel, and toecap, all in that classic “Neon” shade.

In addition to the “Sequoia” colorway, Corteiz also reveals a “Pink Beam” iteration. This Air Max 97 takes on the same gradient form with “Gridiron,” “Black,” and “Blue.” The sneaker sits atop a black midsole with “Pink Beam” AIR units and corresponding Corteiz branding on the heel counter, forefoot, and tongue tag.

Corteiz has been creeping its way into the big leagues for some time now, even catching the attention of Drake, who was seen wearing the new “DA SKYDIVE” jacket. Thanks to other collaborations from fellow streetwear brands such as Soho Yacht Club and Motherlan, Corteiz has also been able to secure other collaboration opportunities with UK rappers Central Cee and Meekz.

After a London-exclusive competition drop to up the hype, the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 “Sequoia” released on March 10th, 2023 for £169 (or about $204) via Corteiz’s website.

The Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 “Pink Beam” dropped on March 21, 2023. To purchase, fans had to visit the Corteiz pop-up in NYC on West 34th St & 7th at 12:05 PM ET. Following the pop-up drop, the sneakers released online via crtz.xyz on Friday, March 24th at 7PM London time (3PM ET). Shipping for this drop is limited to Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Creating viral scenes, the third and final installment, the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 “Aegean Storm” dropped in Paris on April 12th. Swarms of fans were seen chasing down a bus that Clint had rented, hoping to cop a pair. Most walked away empty handed, only to try their luck online on the April 15th release date.
