Earlier on October 25, adidas<\/a> announced that it terminated its partnership<\/a> with Kanye West<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In its press release, adidas stated that it would halt the production of Yeezy sneakers and would no longer send payments to West. <\/p>\n\n\n\n adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye\u2019s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company\u2019s\u00a0values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.<\/p> After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. adidas will stop the adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.<\/p>Statement via adidas<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Hours after the partnership\u2019s termination, retailers are pulling Yeezy footwear from the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Foot Locker, Inc. issued an official statement denouncing anti-semitism and hate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The official statement came after an internal email was leaked that instructed the removal of Yeezy footwear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The company stated it is still an adidas partner but is pulling Yeezy inventory from the floor through all of its retail operators including Kids Foot Locker and Champs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Foot Locker, Inc. does not tolerate any form of anti-semitism, or hateful and discriminatory behavior. <\/p> While we remain a partner with adidas and carry a wide assortment of their collections — we will not be supporting any future Yeezy product drops, and we have instructed our retail operators to pull any existing product from our shelves and digital sites. <\/p>Foot Locker, Inc. statement<\/a> via Footwear News’ Shoshy Ciment<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n adidas has not issued any official statement regarding its retail partners and what actions to take with any of its existing Yeezy product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Keep it locked on Snkrs Day as the story develops. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The decision followed adidas’ announcement of terminating its Yeezy partnership.
