Another week. Another set of Staff Picks. Having seen killer kicks all week, our readers weren’t the only ones happy about the past 7 days of news. Some Nikes had Mike Parsley (Asst. Store Manager) feeling like a Superhero, while writer Albert Lin fell for yet another colorway of his favorite silhouette. After checking out each of our picks, head to the reader section and let us know which kicks had you most excited this week.

Matt Halfhill

I can’t say much at this point other than these turned out just the way I wanted. Look for details about the “Snkrs Day 2.0” next week.

Asics Gel Lyte III “Snkrs Day 2.0” I am loving the simplicity of the design thanks to the hint of complementary colors on the back. My only complaint is that they are releasing this month and not earlier in the year. Who wants to cover up those awesome little details with jeans?

Fragment Design x Nike Air Zoom All Court Low

George Kiel III

I’ve never really been a fan of the Jordan 6 Rings or any Jordan hybrid for that matter; yet, this “3M” Jordan 6 Rings may be the best color scheme I’ve seen on this model. All-3M sneakers are not seen a lot, however, when they are constructed, each one seems to be a definite pickup (see “Green Bean” Air Jordan 5, Air Jordan 5 “Toro Bravo” Pack Black).

Jordan 6 Rings “3M” Detailed Photos

I’ve been looking for some chukka style kicks in a nice neutral colorway for a while now. These are great all around, but the dark sole and waxed laces are what really complete them. I’d definitely enjoy these during the 90 degree “fall” we get here in Austin.

Vans Chukka “Suede” Pack

You haven’t seen the whole shoe yet, but I have. The much anticipated sequel is amazing in person and will definitely be a fan favorite. With version 1.0 one of the few sneakers that stay in my consistent rotation, I’m very excited to have the newest edition to the family.

Asics Gel Lyte III “Snkrs Day 2.0”

As much as I would like to stay away from the Kobe V, every colorway that’s released has been really eye catching. I love the use of grey and red on this pair. With the “Dark Knight,” “Chaos,” and “Kid Hollywood” pairs making my top 3, this is not far behind in terms of best Kobe V colorways.

Nike Zoom Kobe V “Wolf Grey” As an Air Force 1 fan, I have to say that these are nothing short of incredible. The entire shoe in a cork-like texture is set off perfectly by the wine color laces. Now if only Nike would bring this option to the States and drop the Bespoke price a few hundred dollars, I would be all over these!

Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 by Nike Harajuku Pt. 6

The Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer ?Flash? first grabbed my attention when I saw photos of them shortly after Wale was spotted in the “Green Hornets.” The Zoom Huarache is a very rockable shoe whether it’s with shorts or pants, and I’m really diggin this colorway of metallic Varsity Red with hints of orange. Now I realize this shoe is extremely “flashy,” but I’d definitely rock them if I felt like turning some heads.

Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer “Flash”

For my first staff pick ever I couldn?t pass up the New Balance 577 Black & Brown sneakers. These shoes epitomize keeping it simple with high quality leather on the upper and white/tan on the mid sole. These shoes are an easy double take when out around town and with high quality leather, they are guaranteed to go strong all year long.

New Balance 577 Black & Brown

Another week.
