The NBA preseason begins this week and Kawhi Leonard<\/a><\/strong> was spotted at the Clippers media day wearing the never-before-seen New Balance<\/a> KAWHI II “Monopoly.”<\/strong> Inspired by the timeless Hasbro board game, the sneaker illustrates the duality of money — a theme previously expressed on the New Balance KAWHI II \u201cNew Money.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the board game’s colorful property squares as inspiration, this New Balance KAWHI II<\/a><\/strong> has a multi-colored outsole that represent all the different blocks in Monopoly. The upper comes ready in a shade of light blue, similar to board’s mint green hue. The tongue features the game’s iconic “GO” arrow logo, which allows you to collect $200 every time you circle the board. Kawhi uses the game’s capitalistic objectives to convey a greater message, “The Boardman gets paid. It’s all about money.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Details on the New Balance KAWHI II “Monopoly”<\/strong> are still extremely limited, but a release date is expected sometime later this year.
