Today?s The Good, the Bad & the Ugly features a new basketball model so new it doesn’t have a name, a Dunk we’ll never have on our feet, and a very tart retro Jordan. With those clues given, see which sneaker takes each position in our weekly feature below. What was your personal good, bad and ugly this week?

It’s been a long time since there was any competition in the performance basketball market. Nike has been pushing the envelope with the success of their big name signature models and the Hyper-line with few other brand making any noise. Chinese brand Li-Ning is turning into a legitimate contender to challenge the Swoosh for hardwood supremacy. Their latest model uses EVA foam injection for a forward thinking take on basketball footwear. We’re not giving the up and coming brand the crown anytime soon but we do feel models like this will bring the best out of all brands in the market.

We love this colorway, don’t get us wrong, but Nike AGS Employees only? That’s bad for us! While Nike SB has been bringing out some cool Dunks as of late the silhouette has definitely lost some steam over the past few years. The Dubai harkens back to the classic Dunks that had camp out kids packing a lunch and bringing a tent two days in advance. Good for the hardworking AGS employees, bad for us.

There was a time when Jordan Brand set trends. It appears that time has passed. Jordan Brand used to teach us how to fly, it appears now they’re teaching us how to dougie. We’re all for new ideas but this colorway went stale.
