Kasina’s<\/a><\/strong> upcoming collaboration with Nike<\/a><\/strong> on the Air Max 1<\/a><\/strong> features a second colorway to pair with the first, a grey-based colorway inspired by the female Mandarin Duck<\/strong>. Mandarin Ducks are known to choose a mate for life and in Korea, a traditional wedding gift of two wooden mandarin ducks are given to the couple to represent everlasting love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sneaker uses premium tumbled leather, pony hair, and suede on the sneaker with navy, black, grey, and cream making up the upper. Kasina branding is seen on the tongue tag as well as the dubrae, and the mini Swoosh on the lateral side features a flower. The same hues of the sneaker are seen on the Mandarin duck hangtag, representing one of the two wedding ducks that are given as a wedding gift in Korea since Mandarin ducks typically choose a mate for life, it pairs with the first colorway that hit the web. The same duck is seen on the heel, replacing the Nike Air branding typically seen and lastly, a cream midsole and icy translucent outsole with the duck on the bottom finish off the sneaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 “Mandarin Duck Grey”<\/strong> is set to drop first via Kasina on June 4th with SNKRS South Korea dropping them on June 8th as well as SNKRS stateside.
