Legendary sneaker designer Peter Moore<\/strong> passed away at the age of 78 over the weekend. Moore has worked for Nike<\/a> and adidas<\/a> as a designer and creative director, with iconic sneakers and logos such as the Jumpman and the adidas Mountain logo padding his resume as well as the Nike Dunk<\/a> and Air Jordan 1<\/a>. He was also Nike’s first creative director and was at the helm of sneaker campaigns, logos, and sneakers themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are deeply saddened by the loss of Peter Moore, an iconic designer, whose legacy will forever be connected to Jordan Brand, and the sneaker culture he helped to create,\u201d stated Jordan Brand Vice President Howard \u201cH\u201d White. \u201cWe extend our deepest sympathies to the Moore family during this time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moore also has worked with adidas and created the adidas Equipment\/EQT line, in which the Mountain logo which was made for the line was made the primary logo that we see today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
