Get ready for a super exclusive as the size? x adidas Athen “Made in Japan” returns this Summer. This sneaker made its debut back in 1968 as part of a city series to celebrate the Olympics.

The adidas Athen is named after the city that started the Olympics — Athens, Greece. Typically when we see Olympic-themed sneakers, the color palette is often correlated to the country’s national colors. The “Made in Japan” pack opts for a non-traditional approach instead as it includes vibrant shades of yellow, red, green, purple, and blue. Japan is often noticed for their bold and animated sense of style, made famous by the Harajuku subculture, which might have served as the point of inspiration for this collection. The pack offers four different colorways, all of which are made with suede and finished with a dark gum outsole.
