In the second half of 2021, rumors had been circulating that Nike<\/a> had plans to release a new iteration of the Air Max 1 \u201cBig Bubble,\u201d<\/strong> which first dropped in 1986. While there still hasn\u2019t been any official confirmation by Nike, it appears that a sample of the sneaker has surfaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Air Max 1 \u201cBig Bubble\u201d<\/a> started out as a sort of prototype model that would eventually lead to the silhouette of the Air Max 1<\/a> that we know today. As you can tell by the name, this silhouette has a \u201cBig Bubble,\u201d that would end up being minimized to create the classic Air Max 1 model. This iteration of the iconic sneaker keeps the big bubble in all its glory, as the innovative feature was created by Tinker Hatfield. This design element changed the sneaker landscape forever and would go on to become one of Nike\u2019s most popular models. The sample reveals that the upcoming Air Max 1 \u201cBig Bubble\u201d gets revamped in a Black and Anthracite colorway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
