This interruption also affects the Nike app, both which will be offline for the time being. Nike made this service announcement on the frontpage of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nike.com\/ru\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nike Russia website<\/a> and suggested that Russian customers head to one of the brand\u2019s local retailers if they wish to purchase Nike products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/livecoverage\/russia-ukraine-latest-news-2022-03-02\/card\/nike-halts-online-sales-in-russia-zvDqFpwCBLDsGev0BNSz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wall Street Journal<\/a> reported that Nike operates about 116 stores in Russia, most of which appear to be open according to the website. Nike didn\u2019t give full details as to why they\u2019re unable to guarantee deliveries, but considering Russia is in the midst of an intense political landscape, with protests resisting Russia\u2019s active invasion of Ukraine, it seems that it is a difficult time for logistics. Other shipping conglomerates like FedEx and United Parcel Service have officially suspended shipping to Russia as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this time Nike hasn\u2019t made an official statement on this matter or on what is happening in Ukraine, but their behavior follows suit with a long list of other companies that have cut back on business with Russia for the time being. E-Commerce retailers like Net-A-Porter and Farfetch have also suspended shipping to Russia and mentioned that Apple Pay might not work, amongst other payment forms as well. Outside of fashion and footwear, companies like Ford Motors, Dell, Apple, Disney, and Ericsson AB, have halted sales and operations in Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s unclear how Nike plans to keep their Russian retailers fulfilled, but we will continue to update this story as it develops.
