Kicks On Court. Even though we had a roundball frenzy this week, a couple of our staff members dug through the archives and found a favorite non-basketball sneaker. Check out the Snkrs Day staffs’ favorites for week 3 after the jump, and see which staff member can’t get enough of his favorite rapper’s sneaker.

Which sneakers were your favorite of the week?

Cezar Gordo Nike Dunk SB – Nick Engvall

I could have gone with any of the shoes from the aZX Project, as this weekends are all pretty fresh. However, I had to go with this Cezar Gordo Dunk. I like the colors, the transparent sole, and the walkman inspiration is classic! We all remember trying to sneak our walkmans into class back in the day!

Nike Zoom Lebron VI ‘Gold Medal Pack’ – George Kiel

I’m a big basketball fan, so I was very happy to see the “Redeem Team” go to Beijing and handle business. Lebron James was a big part of that team, and these sneakers symbolize his role. The Nike Zoom Lebron VI is by far the best Lebron sneaker I have seen period. I’m not a big fan of LBJ’s sneaker line but this particular shoe is very nice.

Nike Air Flight Lite High (Citron) – Matt Halfhill

For those who haven’t caught on by the shoes I select for Throwback Thursday, I am a sucker for high tops. I also go nuts for bright colors making the Nike Air Flight Lite the best of both worlds. Now if only we could get Nike to bring back those Air Command Forces…

Nike Air Yeezy – Greg Grovey

I know, I know…some of you are saying, “the Air Yeezy’s again?!” Yes. I am aware this shoe is receiving a lot of hype, but, in my opinion, its well-deserved hype. Who better than his #1 fan to keep the hype train rolling! This colorway is crazy, and has unlimited potential with what it can be worn with. Step your shoe game up, and get a guaranteed “A” in Swag School with these.

Nike Air Blue Chip Kevin Durant PE – Peter Sim

Other than the Hyperdunks and McFlys, there hasn’t been a Nike Basketball release that really caught my eye until I saw Kevin Durant’s Nike Air Blue Chip PEs. I can’t really say much about the performance quality of the shoe, but the Oklahoma City colorway on the white upper is, as we say down in Texas, “draped up and dripped out” – the orange that wraps around the toe along with the carolina blue both make the shoe pop and shine under the arena lights. Add other clean details like the “35” embroidery on the inner ankle, textured leather on the Swoosh, and orange/blue piping on the back and you got a well-executed shoe. Also, I know its old news, but props to Nike for hooking Durant up with the clean logo treatment. We’ll have to see what the away colorway will look like, but I assume that it will probably look equally as bonkers.

This week, we saw more basketball kicks than usual, since we kicked off our daily Kicks On Court.
