PUMA has launched LaMelo Ball‘s signature sneaker with the brand, PUMA MB.01 in a tonal red colorway late last year, and a Charlotte Hornets-inspired colorway is set to hit shelves early next month.

Dubbed the “Buzz City” colorway, a nickname for Charlotte Hornets when they rebranded from the Charlotte Bobcats back in 2014. The sneaker uses a black engineered mesh base with TPU overlays placed in high wear areas with teal accenting throughout the sneaker. The flame design around the ankle of the sneaker is seen in teal with the 1 of 1 tongue tag and LaMelo’s tattoo-inspired design on the tongue is also seen in teal. The PUMA Formstrip is seen on the lateral side of the toe with the black midsole using Nitro foam for impact protection and a translucent outsole to finish off the sneaker.
